MAX ROHR was born in Bolzano, Italy in 1960. Following his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna, he lived in Rome and Florence, but decided to return to Bolzano a few years ago. He paints original figurative works where the influences of art from the early 20th century are combined with Nordic colours, references to literature and film, as well as personal history.
