It just so happened that we were able to hold our annual shareholders meeting at Sea Otter. And by “meeting” we mean “ride” of course. Current projections of fun in the next fiscal year are strong to very strong. Portfolio of badass bikes remains stable. Outlook for time in the saddle remains good with the only headwinds being that sales growth makes it difficult to ride bikes, but we won’t let that stop us. The Traildonkey Switch Up started as a bad what-if idea in November. Everyone is talking about two wheelsets for one bike, but our imaginations were already past that. What about two wheelsets and two handlebars for two bikes? What if you could have your cake and eat it too? Only one way to find out. We had to build it. We searched around for all the bits. Most critical were the hydro de-couplers. No air bubbles. No re-bleeds. Otherwise what’s the point? We dove into the internet and found what we needed. We built it two days before Sea Otter. We didn’t know if it would work... but yeah, it did. We can go from 30mm 700c drop bar gravel bike to 2.2” flat bar trail toy in 3-4 minutes. No fuss, no muss, no messy cleanup required. But will it blend? Yeah, it blends. We took it to the XC race and had top 5 finish on it. This is the thinking rider’s build: 105 hydro with an Ultegra RX rear mech because that clutch is clutch. Praxis crank with micro compact rings for that 32x34 granny combo but close ratios as well. PNW dropper because Coury told us he can’t resist hitting trails. He happens to live in Bike Paradise (Steamboat) so having a versatile rig that will take him anywhere he’s willing to pedal is going to make for a fun summer! Happy New Bike Day Coury! Let’s swing back to the dark side for a moment. TD3 Naked with dark army green matte decals for a subtle look. Stealth is good too! Also of note: the first installation of our production offset eyelets and a prototype rear fender / mud guard bridge with a flip flop mounting bracket for different wheel / fender sizes.
