Ebony shouted, eye going wide.

"Couldn't you have been a little more gent-..."

It took Ebony several moments to register the news about the cure. Though upon that time, his words trailed off into incoherence.

"The cure... works? It works!!" He pumped a fist into the air ceremoniously, directly hitting a shelf and knocking several items off.

"You're safe!! And... living proof that we really can save everyone- Thank you for testing it all out..!!"

Ebony's expression appeared rather cheerful, even as the sound of marbles bouncing across the floor interrupted xir.

"Do we have any more? I think I know a few who need it- Boxten, Gigi, Shrimpo, Finn, Toodles, Looey, Glisten, and- well- ah. Uhm. Myself."

Wai wai wai wait. That list was double since I left gv. What happened in that time?

"A real mess, really. Toodles got a rat bite. Looey I believe touched a chocolate bar and got his hand stained..? Glisten... god. Poor guy. Didn't eat food for a while and got tempted to eat a tainted chocolate bar. I tried to clean up his mess."

Ebony took his gloves off for a moment and rolled xir sleeves up, revealing almost fully ichor stained arms, as long as long claws at the end of each finger. Or- what used to be, anyway.

"I'm pretty sure chocolate bars have gotten to at least three or four toons now, actually."

Ebony pulled xir gloves back on before tapping a finger to his glass.

"Must be some kind of mastermind behind it all- Dandy's certainly not doing it."

*she gives a toothy, forced grin*

"I mean, someone has to be doing this on purpose. Most of the tainted items have been clear bait for toons."

"Dandy was framed as well, based on all the evidence I've gathered."

He sighed.

"But who, then? There's no reason for any toon to do something like this- to hurt their allies, neighbors..."

Xe paced for a couple moments before quite literally striking a "Eureka" pose.

"I'm stringing the corkboard again..!"

With a slight groan, Ebony reached out to grab a trash can and promptly puked into it.

He nodded rather pathetically before vomiting again and slumping down to the floor.

Xe moved the trash can over to the side, taking a moment to breathe.

Ebony stared at his hands for a moment before ripping the gloves off again.

"...my hands," xe muttered, "...they feel like they're melting.."

*connie floats towards Ebony and leans down*

Hey, just breath. You'll be fine.

*she vanishes thru the wall before returning with a water bottle. She extends it to ebony*

He remained silent for a moment before looking up at Connie again. "..Thanks."

"...headache." All of Ebony's words were rather slow now, and paused in the middle of some between the syllables. "You seem... better. This goes away?"
