I felt like we needed more of these
Iām laughing. We just had a power cut for about 20 minutes or so and my first reaction (after grabbing a torch) was to make everybody tea. Then go outside and stargaze. Priorities.

i cant play northern characters for this very reason tbhĀ
ooh are you also of the north too? :p
i mean, It kinda makes sense this time though; the last time I had a character I got that immersed in, he had this strong, goofy southern U.S accent which essentially became the voice of my mental narrative. little bit confusing when it leaked into my speech patterns, needless to say :p

"What are you preparing for?"
"Oh, shā Seven hells."Ā A hiss as he sharply retracted his now-bloodied finger from the blade heād been polishingāabsently, before the silence was penetrated by the soft question at his door. One might accuse him of twitchiness, or suffering from a bout of nerves, butterflies in the stomach. He wouldnāt deny it. Rodrik had never found any man with sense who could sleep like a babe before a battleāor, as it were, a march towards many to come.
"What are you doinā up, eh? Go on back to bed."
āHonour is a rare commodity these days.ā
No truer words had been spoken in the dying embers of daylight. A man in search of honour would surely despair before reaching within halfway of the journey it took to find but a shred. Perhaps Rodrik was fortunate that he should have to look no further than his own family.Ā
Yet it tasted too bitter to convince him of that. To see his honourable father lain in the blue flame alongside his brother, and to hear of honourable man after honourable man cut down in the plight of battle by men whose hearts lacked the notion. What use was honour when it did not stop a sword?
"Thereās many who think honour died with the Starks.Ā Now half of themās scattered and the other halfāsĀ dead.Ā
I do find even myself questioning if itās honourĀ thatāll win this war."
[my own northern english accent is getting stronger b/c I roleplay this ridiculously northern man help]

āYes, sheās a sweet sight, though not half so sweet as you.ā
āI need to be a part of that. I donāt want to be on the outside.ā
Ā Ā "You wonāt be."Ā
Ā It requires no deliberation to assure her of that fact; that her call for justice so aptly sung will surely be answered, no less for the reason that the fiery rage burning in them all must burn a thousand times brighter within her heart. Could anybody deny her rightĀ to inclusion?Ā
Ā But though a quick assurance it may be, following his words there comes the envisagement of Talia, his little sister, bent over maps and war plans. Talia discussing tactics with a grave set of mouth and, with the same angel's voice, speaking of ways to put men to the sword. What a complicated idea. It kindled a quiet spark of pride within him to consider that she shouldnāt lock herself away and pine for the ghost at her side. Her house needed her, and she knew it. But the crease in his brow persisted. To grow up in war was no easy burdenāand so soon.Ā
"Iām the Lord now. Iāll see that youāre notifiedĀ of every meeting from now on. If you think youāre ready.ā
