Hello, how are you?, first of all thank you thank you thank you very much for writing a Valkyon route, it's amazing, you were able to capture the old versions of Lance, Valk and Leif and I love that. You recently responded with a guy ranking you like from the Otomes you played and I was wondering what your feelings are about Leiftan.

Leiftan... eh... my feelings for him are complicated because I donât like liars, I can't stand that he lied to Erika for most of TO. (Also I donât like his clothes, yeah I'm shallow like that, however that balances with the fact that he's really pretty). On the other hand, the few times we saw him being unapologetically honest I loved him. I really liked those scenes in his spin-off and I think I couldâve seriously fallen for him if he'd been allowed to be himself for longer.
Keep in mind that we only saw his fake façade until episode 20 and that's pretty much around the time the game was taken from Chino. She worked on his spin-off herself though so really, the only real example of Leiftanâs true personality is his spin-off. Everything that comes before is his fake mask, and everthing that comes after is whatever the new scenarist thought he should be.
I wish we'd had time to know the real Lefitan, I wouldâve been in serious danger đ
In this sense he has been even more unlucky than Lance, because Lance never hid his personality so all the Ashkore scenes we had with him were his real self. Consequently, he was still mostly in character when Chino left and the old writer was working on the game, (episodes 22-29). Itâs basically just ANE that destroyed him. Of real Leiftan, instead, will remain only his spinoff.
I think he would find it very curious and feel the need to try it a few times before really deciding if he likes it or not. By that time he certainly got addicted already without realizing while just taking one ÂŤÂ just to try  đ
Nevra would be like  ewww  and never drink that.
Ez would put popping boba in everything he eats.
Lance would say he hates it, but still enjoys only the traditional one and will have some in secret from the others.
Valk would always take two, a traditional one and a weird mix one he created himself -that no one else would drink- and sticks to it. (Would always say he took too much and give the tradi one to Lance)

I guess the easiest for me to tell about Leiftan is his all backstory who was actually and unfortunately never correctly exploited and explained in game.
Leiftan was a toddler during the time of the Blue Sacrifice.
The aengels didnât want to sacrifice as planned, and for this reason they ended up being persecuted by the other faes.
Leiftanâs parents were killed, but before they died they put him in a stasis spell to hide and protect him.
An aengel survivor, Verom, ended up finding him. (Mowgli style XD )
Verom was weak after the persecution and he decided to establish himself at the Fountain of Youth in company of the Naiade nymphe who guarded the fountain. (She is linked to her fountain as hamadryades are with their tree.) She was a good soul and offered her help.
They cared for Leiftan, still in stasis at this point.
After some centuries, Leiftanâs soulmate was born and Leiftan not destined to be alone anymore, the freezing spell broke. Toddler Leiftan slowly awoke and started living again.
So he grew up with his adoptive parents. As soon as he could, Verom trained Leiftan into using aengel powers, and taught him about the Blue Sacrifice etc.
When he was still very young, a group of exploring humans found the fountainâs place by pure luck. They ended up trying to steal its water but in the fight they killed the Naiade. The fountain dried immediately and she turned to stone. There was just a little bit of water left, she could rejuvenate with a lot of time and patience, and hope.
And then we arrive when Leiftan was a young teen, some humans found the fountain again, but this time they knew what they were looking for. And these humans happened to be... leaded by Erika's father. He was looking for that youth fountain discovered years ago, Erika was sick and dying from some unknown disease (certainly related to her Fae genes), and that was the only way he knew that could save her. He wanted the remaining water.
They fought for it, of course. Charles kills Verom (he is an old man by now) and by taking the last drops of the fountain he also kills the Naiade.
With that bit of magical water with him, he and the soldiers left as he came. Thinking everyone dead.
But Leiftan was not, and he is left as a young daemon, partially trained and able to hide his nature. Full of anger and hate. Hate for both faeries and humans and this is his villain origin story.
(And so, Charles is the person who killed his parents, but also the one who saved his soulmate in doing so. How so tragic hehe.)

Another thing is the potion they make Erika drink later in the story so they would forget about her on Earth.
It was Leiftanâs idea all along, he suggested it to Miiko. With this solution, he was sure Erika would have to stay by their side and he would do anything to keep her close to him. He then acted innocent around her.
And for those who might be mad at this revelation, sorry but donât forget Leiftan has always been a villain and a good two faced one at this. (Especially in the earlier story)

Uhmm let's see...
Nevra: flirty, caring and protective. He's not always perceptive to other people's feelings which can lead him to hurt people, but once he does he loves deeply.
Ezarel: private, sarcastic, jokester even at the most inappropriate times. He has deeper, sensitive inner self which he doesn't let many people see, he doesn't open up easily.
Valkyon: quiet, perceptive and passionate. Comes off as cold at first, but once you get to know him he isn't at all. He has a good heart and he's the most willing to help anyone in need.
Leiftan: devoted, obsessive, two-faced. A gentleman who aims to be perfect lover to the one person he cares about, making her hopes and desires his own, even discarding everything about himself. He doesn't care much about anyone else, making him unfeeling due to past trauma.
Lance: smart, self-assured, distrustful. Very goal oriented, when he sets to do something he won't give up to the point of reaching destruction and self-destruction. He has his own morality he adheres to and he sticks to his own beliefs and passions.
Hello Tetra, how are you? I would like to know if you think Leiftan would try to sabotage Erika's relationship with the other routes? (Especially with Lance) Or he would just accept it and give up on losing his soulmate. I admit that I would have liked to see this kind of drama đŞ
I would have loved to see this drama too, but althought Leiftan is a scheming liar he would not sabotage Erikaâs happiness. Yes, he was behind the memory potion, but at the time he thought she would be happy in Eldarya (and hopefully with him). He would not actively jeopardise her relationship, unless he thought she is mistreated or in danger. So maaaaaybe he would do something, just on Lanceâs route, if he thought that he is dangerous for her. Otherwise, he is there waiting like a puppy for her to change her mind and go to him.

NEVRA
Before you started dating, he tried to flirt with you by asking you to reach some food for him from a shelf. He complimented your height a couple of times and wasnât subtle about his ridiculous attempt to hit on you with that.
Nevra finds it very attractive and doesnât hide it.
He loves how tall you are because it allows him to rest his head casually over your shoulder.
He has fantasized about being cornered by you a few times...
Will ask you how his hair is looking today since you can see it better. He needs to look good for the day.
He might cry if you tell him heâs balding.
Your height is a great excuse for him to find you easily and be able to bother you for longer.

VALKYON
He is somewhat tall himself, so heâd be a little bit surprised when he first saw you. Just like Nevra, he finds it attractive but doesnât make it as obvious. After all, there are a lot of creatures in Eldarya that are much taller than him by their race⌠but you are you and thatâs what he likes.
Valkyon lets you rest your arm around his shoulders. He is open to any form of casual affection that is more comfortable for you.
During cuddling time he is going to bury his face in the crook of your neck and interlock his legs with yours.
If he ever gets to know that youâre insecure about your height his face might go from the usual ._. to >:( very quickly. Youâre precious, donât offend him like that by disrespecting yourself.
Heâs relieved that your bed is bigger than his so he can move freely at night.

This baby, omg.
He was intimidated at first, but after getting to know you, he easily felt comfortable around you.
He absolutely loves to be the small spoon. It is the way his back can fit perfectly against you, how he can curl up and be embraced with so much care that makes him melt.Â
He wonât ever ask for it but might get flustered if you dare to carry him around (a bridal carry style fits him good tbh)

It was you who approached first to Ezarel, as you were commanded to seek help from him for a mission. He wasnât very interested at first in approaching to you. We know how Ezarel was at the beginning, even if he had his reasons. He was impatient with the fact that you struggled to talk too loud towards him, crossing his arms and simply waiting for you to finish your sentence. Heâd make a little bit of fun, imitating you as a way to extract more information about you. Ezarel felt some sort of warmth to see your frustrated reaction, stuttering a bit until you let all the message out.
And you avoided him at first, because you clearly didnât enjoy that interaction very much. However, Ezarel talked about you with his friends, and Valkyon scolded him as if the elf was a kid. He told him that he should be more patient, like common respect! Then Ezarel was like mehh whatever you say, dad >:(
But it made him feel slightly guilty tho⌠so he started being kinder, approaching you first to share a rare meal with you, so you try new eldaryan food, ooor being kinder, in general. You were kind of grateful by his change, but confused. But he was also confused about why were you being so quiet and nervous around everyone.
He wonders why are you avoiding his gaze most of the time? Does he seem threatening? Why do you stutter so much? But with time, he started finding it adorable. And he learnt to be patient.
With time, he grew used to it. Your friendship also grew stronger so you felt more comfortable around him. You also got used to his teasing when you both were alone. The smirk on his face makes you wanna hit him, the way he approaches too much or throws a comment that tests your social limits. Seeing you getting so nervous is cute.
But he wouldnât keep going if he sees heâs overstepping any boundary. When you seem uncomfortable or even anxious, he stops. Ezarel has a sixth sense to know that youâre too nervous.
When you both become a couple, he initiates physical contact to make you shy. Heâd caress your waist subtly, seeing how you tense up, or even whispering in your ear an innocent and harmless âwhy is your breath so shaky? Are you alright?â
During social situations, he isnât really overprotective or infantilizes you at all. If you want to express yourself, go on. He will keep his gaze on you, waiting for you to speak for yourself in front of others. If he sees youâre truly overwhelmed, he might take the lead of the conversation. During The Origins, he was the one who approached, completely curious about your whole presence on the HQs. At the beginning, he wasnât used to be ignored or cause genuine awkwardness due to his behavior, since he believed that most of the creatures in Eldarya fell for him. He truly thought it was because he was irresistible and made you nervous âwhich is true, in a certain wayâ.Â
He had fun making you shyer than usual, provoking those reactions in you. So he might say many double meaning comments that ends up in you needing to go enjoy the fresh air from how warm your face is. But Nevra soon realized that he could be triggering you.
As time passed, he knew when your behavior became awkward around others and started talking to you about any other casual thing, trying to distract you.Â
You feel safer around Nevra, even though itâs easy that his cunty behavior makes you shy. But as long as it ainât comfortable, it will be fun for both of you.
Nevra would never speak for you when it comes to social situations. He might be by your side so you donât feel alone on that. One day, you had to speak up towards the team, following the orders of Miiko. Nevra would whisper a reassuring comment, but anything else. He might be behind you, arms crossed and looking around to make sure that everyone was behaving and paying attention to you. He might show a proud smile sometimes, nodding as he slowly nodded to your words.Â
He is observant to physical reactions, in any context. After the speech to the team, you dried your sweaty hands on your pants. Your breathing was as heavy as if you ran for about 15 minutes straight on an inclined street. Heâd approach, gently stroking your cheek and asking in a gentler tone than ever âwould you like to go for a walk and get some fresh air?â
During A New Era⌠well, even if things had seemed to change, he still knows very good about your shyness. His short, distant answers made it uncomfortable for you. And it pained him to see you so nervous around him again. Even if youâre not as shy as when you first met him, it seems like a barrier has been set in that comfort from before.
Your delicacy to talk to him awakens that affection, that deep love he felt for you. And he cannot help but be even more attentive with you than before. There is no need to know and talk with everyone, but at least have a couple of friends to lean on.
He is very understanding about this feature and isnât uncomfortable, curious or frustrated. Valkyon finds it natural and doesnât add much importance on it. In fact, he believes that your shyness is a part of your charm.
He is also very respectful and prefers to create a peaceful environment where you can feel safe and comfortable. With time, you started to see that Valkyon wasnât as scary as he looked and he literally was the sweetest.
He might talk for you sometimes, only if he sees that you are getting overwhelmed, that you are getting blocked on your thoughts and do not find the words. He quietly and calmly speaks for you, to express what you were trying to say, without the intention of imposing or whatever. He keeps looking at you as he talks to see if he caught your message and feelings well enough to interpret it in his own words.
Valkyon tries to encourage you through his acts, looking at you with patience and a little smile, giving you space to express yourself when you are ready.
He loves to see you smile and puts all his effort to make you feel confident. He knows that shyness can be a barrier, but he believes that with his support and your own will, this barrier will be brought down step by step, enjoying every small improvement.

The moment he saw you was the moment he developed a genuine interest in your existence. You didnât even notice it, but he stared at you from far away, his pupils dilating slightly. He approached at you to introduce himself, and the first thing he noticed is how small you suddenly got when he talked to you. He took a mental note that you were shy, which was adorable. It even made him blush a little, a warm smile on his face to show that he wasn't going to make fun of you -and he hoped that you got the message-.
Leiftanâs gentle treatment has always offered comfort and calm to you, thatâs why it was easier to loosen up a little bit around him and be more confident.
Leiftan doesnât make fun, doesnât get impatient. He is more protective of you in case your clumsiness makes you get accidentally hurt, or in case someone else makes you insecureâŚ
He never interrupts you or makes you feel like you have no voice for yourself. But if he sees that the situation is making you nervous enough, he puts on that sweet smile of his, and with a calm voice he takes subtle control of the situation.
When you start stuttering, he rubs your back gently and mutters âdo not rush it, we have time,â trying to give you some security.
When your shyness is winning over you, he wonât overwhelm you with words. He knows all you probably want is peace. He approaches to you and takes your hand, no matter if itâs sweaty, and walks towards any spot of the area that is more calm. He has that gaze filled of warmth where he is asking you if youâd like to leave.
He is truly observant with your insecurities, and knows when youâre doubting of talking, when youâre feeling out of place, when you feel smaller. He doesnât always act, but he stares at the creatures that made you feel like that sternly.
Whenever you take the initiative to do something, he either melts or smiles proudly, or both. If you surprise him by taking his hand, he might lower his guard a lot. If you suddenly give him a small kiss on his cheek, he feels all his blood accumulating on his head.
With Leiftan, youâll slowly feel more confident, as his reassuring words and actions makes you feel safe. He would love to see you learn how to be less nervous, and seeing you put the effort to do so is a great reason to spoil you later with cuddles, kisses or your favorite snack!
MATHIEUÂ
Honestly, he believed you disliked him at first because whenever he was around, you avoided his gaze or were truly quiet around. He asked Lance if you felt uncomfortable around him or whatever, if his energy was too much, if you hated him... Then he noticed that your face was flushed when he was around: you were nervous. He finds it cute, and not in the sense of finding it cute because he made you nervous, since it could perfectly not be like that. Itâs more on the sense of finding you cute, in general.
Mathieu tries to do random questions to get to know you better, a little bit insistent but without any bad intentions. You realized that he was trying his best to make you open up, but trying to seem patient himself. It was also cute from him to be like that.Â
He has met a lot of people back on his daily life in earth who also were shy. He remembers those classmates who seemed to sweat or stutter at any short question from the teacher, and he can guess that you were just like that as well.
He gave you enough conversation to start to feel more comfortable around him, breaking that awkwardness and making you two feel like happy teens again.
He compliments you in public just to see you squirm and with an empty mind. He giggles like a mischievous kid and kisses your cheek âaww! Look at you, all nervous. How adorable!â
Mathieu knows when you are uncomfortable just by your expression, taking your hand and squeezing it a little as a way to say that it would be short until you both left. And to distract you from any situation that makes you uncomfortable, heâll try to use his humor as a weapon against that situation. Heâll try to gain a laugh from you, enjoying it as if it was his favorite song.
Absolutely loves to see you take the initiative, making him shy this time. His face is pretty blushed when he feels your arms wrapping around his torso. A little, happy sound leaving his throat.
He is more verbal about his support, massaging your shoulders and cheering you up with comments like âcome on, sweetie, youâre doing amazing,â and sometimes it doesnât help much, but at least it makes you know that you arenât alone.
Mathieu adores to see you shy after he has kissed you, pinching your warm cheeks as he makes fun of you in the most innocent way. Mathieu would never make fun of you to hurt you!
He talks about you with Lance and literally becomes so hyped talking about the cute things you do whenever you get nervous. But he also talks about the progress youâve done in the last months with him, about how you seem to be more confident and brave to talk with others without being so clumsy.
LANCE
During The Origins⌠Iâm sorry, he wasnât too kind. At first, he perceived you as a bother. He didnât even understand why someone so quiet and nervous was near the battlefield.Â
He used to provoke you just to repel you. He knew how easy you got small and insecure just by the way you acted with your mates, and used that as a privilege to make you feel uncomfortable and force you to run away. Actually, he was also uncomfortable being around you.
He always crossed his arms, waiting for you to finish your sentence. Do you guys know this meme where a man starts stuttering âif if if if ifâ and the other makes fun of him? Lance would be the one making fun. He was very impatient during those times.
He was so mean that you truly wished to not find him during the mission because it would be a nightmare instead of a mission.
Nowadays, during the A New Era season, he is more patient and actually understands that you donât want to even look at him. But he regrets everything he had done. He approached nervously, as if testing the waters to talk to you and apologize properly for everything he did in his past.
You both needed a long time to be finally comfortable around each other, and it took a lot of effort from both of you, and lots of communication. Now heâs grown the patience he didnât seem to have before. When he sees you start stuttering and getting blocked, he softens his tone and says âIâm still listening, donât worry. Take all the time you need.â
Lance seeks your gaze for his own comfort, not wanting you to run away from him for his past mistakes. He would like to make you feel comfortable around him and not feel like he is going to judge you again.
He doesnât really know about how to comfort you, but he tries. He offers you his hand whenever youâre shaky, or dries your sweat when youâve just gave a speech and are completely nervous, or even keeps his hand on your back as a reminder that he is there.
Lance always encourages you to speak up whatever you are feeling, whatever is with him or with others. He prefers you to speak up for yourself because he can get quite protective of you and speak too sternly for everyoneâs comfort.
Whenever othersâ are making plans, and youâre just quietly looking at everyone and nodding, he might ask your opinion in a low tone, not forcing you to speak up, in case you arenât comfortable. He always has in mind your feelings and opinion, and understands that sometimes is difficult to open up with strangers or that you donât feel confident enough to share some words with others.
But he definitely lets you be whenever youâre opening up to others and letting that shyness fade.
