10th May 2024: radiators back on the wall.

2nd May 2024: painting finished. The stairwell is too blue though, so we may revisit this.

1st May 2024: second coat and woodwork begun. Attic stairwell refresh started. Last time this was done in June 2013, scroll down to revisit that. Also some horrendous cat scratches have been painted over.

30th April 2024: ceiling and first coat on

29th April 2024: some filling, mist coat applied, and ceiling started

17th April 2024: new curtain pole and curtains have gone up. Leaving them tied up for a bit to encourage the pleating.

28th March 2024: new plasterboard above patio door and skimming finished off

27th March 2024: blown plaster removed and wall skimming started

[rogermilton]

25th March 2024 - radiators off, and wallpaper behind them removed

[rogermilton]

16th March 2024 - last bit of wallpaper stripped, curtain pole taken down

[rogermilton]

9th March 2024 - finished removing the wallpaper (except for a little bit I'll need to do separately where the plaster is very thin covering electric cables to a socket)

2nd March 2024 - wallpaper removed from three walls

26th February 2024 - fireplace and wood burner installed

[rogermilton]

25th February 2024 - finally empty of furniture, obsolete thermostat taken off wall (we've even replaced the boiler again since this was no longer needed)

24th February 2024 - less furniture, vinyl all removed (just about), shelves taken down, started removing wallpaper

[rogermilton]

23rd February 2024- fireplace has arrived, most of the furniture lifted out, started removing vinyl layer from wallpaper

[rogermilton]

Wednesday 14th February 2024 - fireplace manufactured, ready for delivery
