Cobalt lay awake as the moonlight fell on the two, naked bodies in a tangle of sheets and warm, soft touches under the sheets. The sounds of the world outside had faded away as the midnight hours faded to the early morning, leaving Cobalt feeling like the only man awake in the entirety of Atlas. He brushed his fingers through Carmen's hair as she lay against his chest, eyes caught up in the image of her sleeping figure. He kissed her brow, sighing happily as he just breathed her in.
