“My dad and I… are okay, I guess?” Laney’s words held a questioning tone to them, so unlike the persona that shone through on her Youtube channel. And it made sense. Victor Ferreira was a hard man to love, and an even harder man to read. She’d been making her own money since she was seventeen, so he hadn’t had to worry about her financially in a while, but she still felt like she was somehow a burden to him. The pigmentation in Juvia’s Place palates are unrivaled, but Beauty Bakerie fits my aesthetic a little bit more.” Laney could imagine a full career online for herself, easily. “Maybe I settle down eventually, but I want to focus on my career, first.”

“Oh, that’s a personal day for me.” Laney knew that the perfect day would be one she could blog about, but also one where she was completely alone. No obnoxious boyfriend. “I’d wake up, make myself that avocado toast recipe I shared on my lifestyle vlog the other day, a cute latte. Play some nice music so I can have a good morning. Maybe I’d have a salon day, go get a nice facial and a mani-pedi.” The raven-haired girl could imagine the day right then. “Go to a steam room. I wish New York had those bath houses like in Japan, but we don’t, so I guess I’ll save that for a far away video. Finish off the night with my favorite vegan Ratatouille recipe and a nice red wine.”
