Roguesbang is on Livejournal! What is a Big Bang? It is a specific challenge held within fandoms usually involving long fics and accompanying art in a collaboration between artists and writers. In this challenge, the focus is on Flash villains, whether from Captain Cold's Rogues to the Reverse-Flash or the Fiddler. Authors are required to write a minimum of 10,000 words. Artists are required to create at least one piece of art (600x600px minimum) or one video (minimum 1 minute in length).

What does that mean?

I will post a form with the remaining stories and everyone - even artists who haven’t signed up yet - can step forward to claim the story!

Cool, how does that work?

Follow the link and you will see summaries of stories. You have three picks, so you assign the story you want the most a 1; then 2 and 3. So, your form could look like a2 b3 and c1, d0 and e0 meaning that you want story c with the highest priority, then you’d go for story a and then story b; and you’re not interested in stories d and e.

Who can claim stories?

Any artist who is committed to seeing this through. So any of the artists who already claimed a story can participate a second time and claim two stories as well  as people who haven’t signed up yet.

Claims are open!

All the artists who signed up so far will have received an email with all the relevant information and data inside.

The first round of claims will be open for 48 hours or until every story has been claimed. If there are any stories left unclaimed after 48 hours, a second round will open free-for-all, where artists who didn't sign up for the challenge are also allowed to claim. Artists who have already claimed a story are also allowed to claim a second.

Once all stories are claimed for the first time, and there are still artists left wanting to work on a story, another bonus round will open. This means that authors could potentially get more than one artist on their story. Artists can only claim a maximum of two stories to work on.

Claiming Instructions:

   You may claim only one(1) story at a time per round. If there are any stories left unclaimed 48 hours after claims open, we will have a second round of claims.

   Please clearly list your top three(3) choices by their designated numbers provided in the summaries post.

   Claims will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.

   Once your claim has been confirmed, please see it through to the end.
