Overheard in law school
“He seems like an asshole.”
“He’s not an asshole, he’s just a tax lawyer.”
Going on my 4th day trying to get someone to tell me wtf mutual assent is. I’ve stooped so low I’ve went to get this damn BarBri outline book.
it took 8 weekdays for me to officially want to strangle the gunner of my class
i hate him i hate his voice i literally want to throw my macbook at his face
If this aint the damn truth!
Whose idea was this
Law school is like a steel wall with a hidden door that you have to run into with full force over and over and over again until you find the hidden door. Only its not like a normal door but a mis-shaped figured door that you have to run into strategical to fit through.
after i mail my tuition check
FLAT!
What every law student feels all the time
The First Semester of Law School
Me. Currently.
If you’re not willing to put in the work, how can you expect to succeed?

I don't like when people try to tell me what to do. You can only ask me, its my decision to actually do it. (manager's take notes) If I make it blatantly clear that I am not going to do something why try and force me. I don't give in to pressure, I'm a nearly middle aged black girl, all i know is pressure.
On a scale of 1 to I DONT CARE!
Today my boss told me to be nicer and gentler to my co-worker... he's 45... no. How much fucking privilege do you want! Ultimately, I know by making this decision my job could be on the long... and frankly i'm ok with that.
Trying to figure out if I should go for my CPA or not. Life decisions. Ugh.

For years, studies have found that first-generation college students — those who do not have a parent with a college degree — lag other students on a range of education achievement factors. Their grades are lower and their dropout rates are higher. But since such students are most likely to advance economically if they succeed in higher…
