Because I don't have anything better to do, I decided to dedicate my entire evening for translating... Very nice and long interview so I hope you enjoy reading it as well!

gaala podcast just dropped a new episode with käärijä as a guest and it's really good! (available here, behind a paywall)

some interesting bits:

the podcast hosts are finnish actors. two of them interviewed käärijä around 9 years ago for ylex and that was his first ever radio interview + radio play for one of his songs. he was working at gigantti back then and remembers listening to the interview when it aired during work hours and tearing up :')

he was supposed to be in thailand for a month at the beginning of the year, had to change flights because melodifestivalen.

he does feel like he is rested and has energy overall, but he does get tired more quickly in some situations: during melodifestivalen after the first interview he did there he was already ready to go home.

a lot of talk about fame and his mental wellbeing during the past two years. this was really interesting and given that the hosts are actors they could relate to being recognized in public etc. but it also really puts into perspective how insane käärijä's level of celebrity is.

relating to that: he likes wearing sunglasses cause they provide a sort of safe space for him when he's talking to people. when people can't see his eyes he doesn't have to worry about making sure to look everyone in the eye etc.

if he could be invisible for a day he would go ride a bus/use public transport. :''(

he still reads jodel conversations about himself. doesn't read twitter or other platforms.

this is going to be a quiet year when it comes to gigs, big things coming next year. he really believes in the käärijä project and thinks that his biggest things are yet to come.
