This is my lil guitar boy Mik, which may or may not be renamed in the forseeable future.

So I made him in like 6th grade when i was terribly stupid and drew in class instead of paying attention (you can see the outcome of that)

At first he looked like this:

So this guy was originally supposed to be a very obnoxious theater guy in love with another obnoxious theater guy and there'd be a romance arc between them. Obviously. 6th grade me and romances.

I abandoned this character for a whole something years, and then it dawned on me one day that I was a metalhead, and I redesigned a lot of my character to be musicians, be metalheads or just be music loving hardcore people. That's when the hair got longer and the style changed. But no no no, he still likes wearing beige. Silly lil Mik. I'll post his bandmates somewhen.

I'm not going to lie to you, I am desperate, and I need to breathe.

My government is making some questionable decisions. Making cheap store brands restricted. In a move to force people to find jobs. I just know it. I'm definitely freaking out, but there's more crap that's been going on...

I. Need. To. Sell. Something. I have zero financial autonomy besides asking my boyfriend to buy me things. There's so much... I'm overwhelmed. Stressed. My body's not gonna answer lightly to all this mess.

Should I try selling art? Look, this is what I can do. I can open a Kofi and sell this kind of stuff.

I can do some pixel art, I can doodle your characters, hell I can try spending more time and giving you a full illustration. I'm tired of feeling stuck and I'd love to find this freedom in giving people little bits of joy by drawing their characters. I won't lie, I am still studying and improving. I'm no professional, I just want to make sure the people I'll meet someday will be satisfied and happy, and that I get to save even a few cents on my name.

I'm all ears and eyes and I would love to meet more artists and people in similar situations who can hopefully shed some light on this idea I'm having.
