It's so ironic and tragic how Feofan had to say the final goodbye to the version of Dottore that's the image of the one he first met, the one that for some reason let him live and gave him a new opportunity in his life.
Dottore was 38 when he met Feofan, he obviously looked like Omega Build. This is how Dottore looked like when Feofan met him.
His journey with Zandik ends with the image of the Zandik with whom he started the journey together. "Omega" representing the end, the Zandik that would be the end is the one that was Feofan's new beginnings, and now it's the end of that time.
Now Feofan is 400, looking like 45, he is different from who he was at 20 when he met Zandik. Yet at the end of their journey, he is saying goodbye to almost the same image he met of Zandik as if Zandik never changed with him while him changed.
Of course, Zandik changed, but that version that did it, the original, died centuries ago.
