COMMON HUGE MISUNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE ENDING OF ELECTRIC DREAMS I KEEP SEEING IN PEOPLE'S POSTS

From what I've seen a lot of people here assume and believe that Edgar dies at the end of the movie and is some kinda ghost or whatever. People of course are upset with that ending (I was too when I believed that to be the case)

But here's the thing...

He doesn't die at all he just moves over to the internet

Even in the movie, Moles Miles even chuckles at this realization before ducking from the explosion. Why would he be like "haha oh you little shit" to someone thats about to die? It's because of the "Wrong Number" thing that was an indication that Edgar's plan wasn't as dark as it seemed. Also Miles doesn't even like question how Edgar is on the radio at the end too he likely also told Madeline what's up and thats why they're not as shocked as one would be. The song is diegetic aka the song is actualy interacting with the the universe the film is in as opposed to when a character in a musical breaks out into a song and then in the next scene they never mention or react to the fact the song happened. You can easily tell this because the radio station people make a huge fuss about how they can't change the song from the one that Edgar overrided them with.

So yeah a lot of people that headcanon he didn't die just moved over to the internet or something else... YOUR HEADCANON IS ACTUALLY JUST CANON!

So, don't be sad about the ending anymore if you thought he died because it straight up gives the Edgar the freedom to move place to place and likely eventually visit or come back to stay with the people he loves.

(Idk maybe he comes back after the internet and his travels teaches him about polycues he comes back to them with the news like "let's try this!" lmao)
