and because my page isn’t random enough, here’s my thoughts on my current read (im still reading book 2: the monsoon rising)

The Hurricane Wars

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 / 5

I love enemies to lovers so if you’re like me you’d appreciate how heavily that is emphasized. I could be biased but I loved how much toll it takes on the characters when they realize they’re physically attracted to one another, how hard they struggle with it because of their principles. The story at first is more of an introduction to their world and the war happening with bits of history being uncovered throughout the story. I feel as though I was also navigating through their worls.

I’m a HUGE slow burn addict, I eat that shit up. This is one hell of a slow burn, thought their chemistry is tangible starting from the middle of the book. You want to root for them but it’s hard to stand by either of their beliefs because each side has it’s deeply engrained trauma; more so that they are from enemy kingdoms.

I hate HATE the use of “I never hated you at all” because what was the point of being enemies and i pray that the sequel never hold such words. PLEASE THEA I AM CRYING AND BEGGING.
