Finally designed this oc! This fella has been in the backburner for a while, and by that I mean a year and a half haha… yeah 🥲

July, or Jules, is Perrin’s ex, another Hivewing in my Pantala AU!

Before the Breath of Evil (BoE) and subsequent disbanding of the hive class systems, July was a milliner at Jewel Hive (the most artistic/fashionable).

July met Perrin when the Hivewing was testing his ‘HiveDiving’ abilities; the leftover spark of the BoE and hivemind ability, allowing those to utilise the untapped space in other Hivewing brains. A HiveDiver, with enough practice, can see through another Hivewing’s eyes, hear their thoughts, tap into surface-level memories, or even communicate to each other long distance. When looking for another job, Perrin would help July by “seeing what the customers want,” hive-diving into other’s memories and thoughts and relaying it back to July.

July later became a well-loved leathersmith, turning his hat-making skills into something more practical like satchels, belts, and bags. During so, Perrin dove deeper and deeper into his hive-diving, and for searching for others like him. Their relationship ended explosively when Perrin grew too controlling and invasive. In a fit of rage he stung July and tore open his left secondary wing. July would never be able to fly again, and Perrin fled to another hive, hellbent on his new goal.

Drawing and writing is really sporadic for me rn, but I’m hoping to add more to my au soon :)
