the fact that gojo just dies stuck in his past is such a horrible end to his character. hes supposed to be moving forward, moving on from his past but he struggled to. and instead of ACTUALLY being able to move on and come back to life, he STAYS there. he just… gives up on the students he wanted to keep alive and happy??? that was obviously young gojo speaking, not adult gojo. but thats another story for another day. hes not SUPPOSED to stay in the past, he was supposed to MOVE ON, and be happy with what he has NOW, but nooooo gege said “Nah, I’d Rush.” and KEPT him there stuck in his little blue spring that will never come back.

that mission was pure filler, it didnt provide anything useful besides “haha look guys its the trio again!!” theres so many plot holes its insane. takaba and kenny are unexplained?? (takaba literally doesnt know who geto is, and he came to know kenny, NOT geto. theres no reason that it would be geto)

in the end i can really see why gojo was always so emotionally distant. nobody seemed to even care about him in the first place. theyre all happy, why cant he be? why is it such a problem for him to live happily? hes not happy. hes stuck in what hes always tried to leave.

Because gege can’t tell me that shoko who was visible worried during his fight with sukuna, suddenly gave a damn, or Utah and ijichi that were right there with him at the start of his fight knowing they could also die, or megumi, cause even if he didn’t see gojo as part of his family, this kid tried to apologize with everyone for what sukuna did when he was being possessed, so to tell me that he feels sorry for other people but not for gojo, the one who spent a lot of time with him, is …. Yikes

And yuta not mentioning gojo at all after what happened and what he did is weird as hell.

some people will read their supposed "fav" talk about feeling that everyone leaves him behind eventually and saying that "I have love and dreams too" and feel absolutely nothing about it. these supposed gojo fans will say that it's actual gojo fans' fault for being unreasonable and upset and delusional and wanting a better conclusion for him.

they make it about gojo fans obssessing over his comeback, when it's obviously what we really want is for his character to be honored and recognized by others the way he deserves.

Please DO NOT use AI to generate fanfic

Not reblogging because I don't want to bash, but a day after hearing that OpenAI has scraped AO3 to train their writing AI, I've just seen a Tumblr post with AI-generated 'fanfic'.

The billions of hours of labour that millions of fanfic writers have given, hoping for nothing in return but comments and kudos, has been taken and used to train a for profit AI owned by Elon Musk. [So many people have nit-picked this, I'm editing to add: while Elon does not outright own this, as I believed at time of writing, based on the info linked, he did INVEST HEAVILY in it. This does not constitute deliberate misinformation and is honestly not that a significant difference FFS.]

This is bad, guys.

It's bad because it's fundamentally wrong, because it endangers fan works, and because it's illegal.

Not illegal in the way that fanfiction is legally questionable but now broadly defensible by highly trained OTW lawyers. Illegal in the way that copyrighted works and characters have been used for profit to create works with Open AI.

It's wrong not just because the works are created without consent from the labour of authors who won't see a penny, but because the aim of AIs like Open AI is to replace the work of professional writers.

You may use Open AI to make a silly fanfic and have a good laugh, but that's not what Elon wants it for.

If you hate what's happened to Twitter, you should be really, really scared about this.

It endangers fanworks because it awakens the power and might of brands like Disney, who have mostly stopped trying to sue fancreators (although they really, really did used to, and not that long ago) for using their IP and especially for writing LGBTQ+ fic. They're mostly willing to turn a blind eye because we aren't making any money.

But that's not what Elon wants to do. And they might start caring again if they see Open AI writing Stucky (follow the link, it writes Stucky omegaverse fic at the merest mention of Steve) and it obviously does so because it used AO3 as its source material.

You and I know it's not any fic writer's fault, but I don't think Disney cares, and it's cheaper to battle AO3 than Elon.

I should stress: AO3 admins are aware. It's been reported. do not clog up their inboxes reporting it again.

The above reasons and more are all arsenal in the armoury of OTW's lawyers. But that's still a battle to fight.

In the meantime, the very least you can do is NOT USE OPEN AI.

Not for a laugh. Not for anything.

I don't like gojohime because of hetronormativity, I like it because the dynamic amuses me

I like the idea of Gojo being a pining idiot who is emotionally constipated enough to think his teasing of Utahime can be classified as flirting.

I also like the idea of an oblivious Utahime not taking shit from him; she doesn't care if he's the strongest, the honoured one, but he needs to respect his elders.

I love fics that have Gojo's idiocy backfire on him because we can all agree Utahime does deserve the best. I'm sorry, but the thought of an oblivious Utahime not knowing that he's pining, just having her think he just looks down at her and likes making fun of her because she's "weak" (everyone is technically weaker than Gojo) only for it to later bite him in the ass with him experiencing jealousy, angst, and him also getting somewhat humbled is just so entertaining to me.

It's just fun.
