favorite thing about them: his eyes, his face, his back, his shoulders, his hands. lol But I really love how he keeps his emotions and reactions under such tight rein while heās quiet and deferential and just ruthlessly efficient until they eventually erupt like a volcano and all that passion (okay, sometimes murderous rage) bursts forth. I, uh, really like that.
least favorite thing about them: I want to steal chocksawaychaps answer and say that he didnāt get a happy ending. More specifically, I hate that the writers undid all the good and creative character development theyād spent most of 3 seasons on. Oh, also that he does have a teensy bit of a stabby, slicey murdering problem in season 1.

brOTP: Nico for sure, I love that Riario was training him how to be a proper bastard
OTP: um, basically anyone but Lorenzo? I adored him with Zita (that whole plot point still makes me rage). I really love him with Leo because hnnn the chemistry is too hot. Iāve grown through fanfic to really like him with Zo and Leo together in a big olā happy threesome. I loved him with Laura and thought he might actually get a happy ending (NOT THAT WAYā¦ ok maybe that way too) even if it was a typical US-show het ending. I love to write him with all these pairings.

random headcanon: I like to headcanon Blake Ritsonās headcanon that he mentioned in the pre-S3 press that Riario would have been a traveling musician if the whole assassin-for-the-pope thing hadnāt worked out. I love the thought of Riario secretly really enjoying music and perhaps being musical himself that could come out in opportune moments, like serenading the one he loves, writing and playing songs for them, crooning in that unforgettable voice while he looks deeply into their eyes *swoons*
unpopular opinion: I donāt know what the fandom opinions are at the moment? But I still firmly believe Riario shouldnāt have gone back to Lorenzo to make amends unless there was a bigger, over-arching reason that didnāt involve the Architect et al. It still seems so out of character and was pretty obviously just a move for the writers to work the whole secret society-brainwashing thing back in. ALSO: I really, really donāt believe that Riario was a virgin when he and Zita made love on the ship. Boy had too many smooth moves to be a first-time fumbling virgin. ;D
song i associate with them: Love the Way You Lie is my all-time Leo/Riario song along with this version of Tainted Love (I never wrote actual songfic until I did based on Love the Way You Lie because it is SO angst-filled Leo/Riario post-relationship or mid-relationship as the world burns around them, maybe someday Iāll post it)
