Yeah, probably. i haven't really talked to him much in the last few days, he seemed preoccupied with something or other. Of course you've been working on your studies, do you even do anything else? I've been just trying to make sure I haven't failed every single class this term, I'm slightly worried, I didn't copy as much off of you as I usually do...

So I just wanted to say hi and let you guys know that I've officially moved back in with my mom and therefore am able to be active again. I fixed all the shit that was going wrong and I've managed to not totally fuck up my life, which means you're all going to have to deal with me again and tell me what the fuck is going on because I literally have not been here for 6 months omg but HI I'M HOME BABIES!~!!!!

It's Been Awhile :: Harry & Ron

“Actually, I think it would be hilarious to see Snape in pink. It might cheer him up a bit.” Harry laughed and tucked his book into his bag before sitting back on the couch next to his friend. It had been too long since he got to spend any time with his best mate and he had missed Ron a lot. Harry laughed when Ron mentioned Hermione talking about S.P.E.W. “I can’t believe she’s still going on about that spew thing. I thought she gave up on that a while back.” He smiled. “Did she mention anything to you about starting up the D.A again?”

"For some reason I think that would only make him even more unhappy." Ron laughed again, rolling his eyes a little. He smirked a bit at Harry but relaxed yet again, feeling a sense of comfort and happiness that he got from being with Harry. It was strange how it felt different from when they were apart, but maybe it wasn't all that strange after all. After all, the two of them had been best friends since the day they had met practically. They were like brothers. Nothing was ever going to tear that apart for long. "I can't believe it either. But then again, it's Hermione." he said, smirking yet again. He let out a long sigh and shrugged his shoulders. "No, she didn't mention it at all. Were you thinking about starting it up again?"

It's Been Awhile :: Harry & Ron

“Not unless you call writing three essays for defence against the dark arts in one week, hunting for trouble.” Harry smiled. “I swear to Merlin, Snape isn’t teaching us a damn thing in that class. I think he is just one step above Umbridge. I keep meaning to ask Dumbledore, why he gave Snape that class anyway.” He realised he  had been ranting about Snape and suddenly felt bad. He was sure his friend didn’t want to hear about all the ways he hated Snape. Harry smiled. “How have you been? Has Hermione been getting on to you about Homework?”

"Not for me, but that definitely sounds like Hermione's kind of fun." Ron said with a chuckle, knowing that had she been there in that particular moment he would have endured quite the glare. That was just expected by now, for at least Ron anyway. "Yeah, I hear ya." Ron said, relaxing into the couch and stretching out his legs a bit. He let out a long sigh and thought about all the piles of homework he still had to do for all his classes that he ahd been putting off. But this was far more important than his homework. Or at least it felt like that to him. "No one is worse than Umbridge though. Even Snape. Maybe throw a pink coat on Snape and it could be worse than her, but  I don't think I'll ever be able to look at pink the same way again... or kittens." Ron said after a moment, shivering slightly at the thought of the way Umbridge would flaunt around in her pink, making Ron more and more nauseous with each accessory. "I've been alright. Just busy with work and school and stuff." Ron shrugged a little, not feeling in the mood to go into the troubles he was dealing with, and the things that he was trying so hard to push to the back of his mind. "Yeah, we sorta hung out the other day.." he said, nodding his head a little. "She wasn't too bad though. Not as annoying as usual." Ron smirked a little and laughed. "Went on about her SPEW thing though. That was sorta...annoying." Ron shrugged.

Fate Fell Short This Time :: Ron & Hermione

Hermione frowned at the mention of Malfoy. Last time the two of them spoke, he called her a mudblood. She truly hated that name. It made her feel like she wasn’t worth anything, even though she knew she could hex him into oblivion. Whenever he tried to pull things like this, she knew Harry and Ron would always have her back. But when she was on her own with him, she always felt hurt by his words. She knew she didn’t have the best insults to use against him and always felt a tad weaker from this. “You’re not always nice to house elves, Ron. You like to take advantage of them at some points. For example, calling them dirty is not being nice at all!” She narrowed her eyes. “And if you were anything like Malfoy, we wouldn’t be friends. I can promise you that.” She crossed her arms and looked away from him, anger swelling up inside. It was as if the name itself was causing her anger. She shook her head and looked back at him. “…Sorry. I didn’t mean to get angry.” Hermione took a deep breath and gave him a look. “Reading books for fun does not qualify you to be a nerd! Yes, I may be intelligent in lessons, but plenty of other people are. Those with brains like to read books for fun! They understand the greatness of the impact a single book can leave them.” She turned as he passed her and kept that look on her face. It was the kind of look Ron got all of the time from her.

Ron knew he shouldn't have mentioned Malfoy, but there was no taking it back now. He was just going to have to deal with the fact that now Hermione was angry, and it was going to be him that paid the price...as usual. He let out a sigh and just let her rant, figuring if he even tried to cut her off or fight back against her she would just get angrier and angrier until she was red in the face and her hair had bushed up just about as big as her bloody cats hair. Merlin, did Ron hate that cat. "Well...I try my best. It's not my fault the general population of wizards have house elves as their...helpers." Ron definitely didn't want to use the word slave, knowing that that would only make her even more upset. Without anyone knowing it, Ron and his brothers had always joked around with the house elves around his families house and called them their slaves, joking around with them, at the expense of the elves at times. Ron wouldn't let her know that though. Maybe never. He'd never hear the end of it and he'd probably end up in her bad books (worse than Malfoy) for the rest of his life. And he really didn't want that. "It's alright. I'm used to it." he raised an eyebrow a little as he began to dig into his sandwich, starting to get sauce all over his face and dropping little bits of lettuce out of the sides of it. "Can we please stop talking about books? It's making my head ache and my stomach turn. And I'm trying to eat! That's just inconsiderate!" he said, his mouth still full of food.

It's Been Awhile :: Harry & Ron

It was unlike Harry to spend so much time with books. But the impending threat of Voldemort had scared him and he knew the only thing that could help him out this time was studying. His worries also caused him to distance himself from his friends, he was afraid that somehow he would get them killed and he didn’t know what he would do without him. Tonight, Harry was tired of going over every book about counter curses and spells and just wanted to relax. He pushed the books aside and pulled out his potions book. He never thought that in a million years he would enjoy  a potions text book as much as he did. But the ‘Half Blood Prince’ had so much to share with him and he wanted to learn it all. Despite Hermione’s pleas to return the book and get another one. 

Harry looked up when Ron came down the stairs to the common room. A grin lit up his face. He had missed his best friend deeply and was starting to feel terrible for pushing him away like he did. “Hello.” He said cheerfully as he closed his book. “I was wondering where you were.”

Ron's eyes fell upon The Boy Who Lives, who also happened to be his best friend. He couldn't help the smile that lifted up in his face at the acknowledgement from his friend. Ron wasn't really a needy person, but he was deeply insecure, and with all of the pushing to the side he had endured from Harry as of lately, it had made him feel worse and worse about himself. "I was wondering that very same thing." he said with a bit of a grin as he tossed himself down onto the couch. He fell with a thud but put his feet on the coffee table and relaxed against the back of the chair. It felt as though he hadn't relaxed for weeks. Ever since his break up with Candy that Harry didn't even know about, it felt like everything had changed. He just felt so distant from the things that he had once used to enjoy so much, but now only brought him down and made him think about all the things he desperately wanted to avoid. If there was one thing he knew for sure from this experience with his now ex-girlfriend, was that relationships really weren't his specialty  and by no means was he looking for one anytime soon. Maybe if the right person came along, but Ron didn't even want to think about that right now. He just wanted to have a good evening with his best mate who he had barely spent more than 5 minutes with in the past few weeks. "Where've you been? Not off hunting for trouble without me, are you?" he asked with a bit of a chuckle, feeling the old Ron he used to be sort of perk up in the moments he got back with Harry.

It's Been Awhile :: Harry & Ron

Ron lay in bed for a long while, just staring up at the ceiling and killing time before he had to go to meet Harry. He’d be lying if he said that his nerves weren’t through the roof. Never before had him and Harry had such an extensive differ in personalities. Usually they were so strung tight, the best friends in the entire castle. But as their focus’s and interests changed around them, it seemed as though with each passing day they drifted farther and farther apart. The feeling of distance between Ron and Harry’s bed grew larger and larger, the gaping feeling as though he had lost a bit part of him hanging over his head. So as Ron took in a few deep breaths, slowly glancing over towards the direction of Harry’s empty bed, he pulled himself off of his bed and up onto his feet. He looked a mess, and he knew it. Ron let out a long sigh and decided to push his thoughts to the back of his mind, or at least try to. He had never been all that good at dealing with the things he was feeling, and towards the beginning of the year he had tried to drown his sorrows with alcohol. Upon finding that that didn't work, Ron actually tried the whole 'relationship' thing. And when that soon fell through, he realized that there wasn't a lot anymore that could make him happy like it used to. So maybe a little quality time with Harry was what he needed. After all, it had been so long since the two of them had done anything together that Ron almost forgot what it felt like to be around his best friends. The two were more than just friends though, they were like brothers. So Ron pushed his ginger hair out of his face, noting how long it had grown in the recent weeks, and made his way down to the common room. He hoped to find Harry there, or at least someone who had seen him in the recent days. It wasn't like Ron had seen much of him aside from class and the few little times they spoke in the morning and before they went to bed.

Her smile remained on her face. She couldn’t help but be proud of him! She felt like he was finally beginning to see her ways of things. He was acting like a true SPEW member! Maybe he would agree that house elves deserve rights, just like them. Of course, she wouldn’t push that on him just yet. She had to take small steps. She laughed when he asked what she was talking about. “Ron! You just made your own sandwich! That’s so…unlike you. You’re actually being nice to house elves!” She had to stop herself from going on a long rant about her pride. She smiled at him. “I think that’s a great idea. All three of us deserve a day to be together again.” She rolled her eyes at him. She didn’t exactly love the way Binns teaches, but she wouldn’t be rude about a teacher. “No, I’m not a nerd. I may not find him as the best teacher I’ve ever had, but I still enjoy what we learn in the class. I think the history of magic is an interesting class. I like some of the things we learn.”

She was right, he had made his own sandwich, and it hadn't been all that hard. Maybe Hermione wasn't all that wrong or daft after all. Maybe she just...cared. That wasn't all that bad, was it? No...not really. Not unlesss she was going on about it for hours on end. Maybe then it was a little bit annoying and not so great to hear. "I make my own sandwiches all the time. You're just never around to see it. And I'm always nice to house elves. I'm not like Malfoy and kick them around and what not. That's just bloody stupid. They're making our food for Merlin sake! Who is to say that they're not going to rub their dirty noses in it or something." Ron mostly added that last part to bug her, knowing that it would. That was just the nature of them though; saying things just to get under the others' skin. It was just how things worked, and Ron sorta liked it. Unless he was on the receiving end, then he didn't like it so much. "You are a bit of a nerd though, you can't deny that. I mean, you read books...for fun. Who does that? Nerds. Nerds do it." he said with a cocky smirk towards her as he walked past her again to take his seat at the table in the center of the room.
