Hey there! It's me Rony or sometimes they combine my names and just call me "Ronylyn". I'm 17 years old and still exploring my talents and still finds my purpose in life. Still not sure with what I want to do in the future, but I always remind myself to enjoy and not forget my present responsibilities.

I enjoy Drawing and painting, and oh! Also planting. These things removes my stress especially when I can see the progress and achieve and see how my works grow and develop in time to time.

6TH POST: My Reflection for the First Quarter in Learning MIL

During this first quarter I had learn and realized many things. I thought adjusting to the new normal was easy, but it wasn’t. MIL gave me a new meaning about media. At first, I thought that when you say the word “media” it’s all about social media and just it’s issues that keeps repeating and repeating and spreading like a fire. But nope, it wasn’t the subject I expected it to be. I have learned new ways and more stuff about how or where did media started and what kind of information do they spread about the past generations.

I was also new with the kinds of plagiarisms that people do! The word plagiarism is just the generalized term for the things that people plagiarized. Being taught by these things are new to me and I really appreciated the effort of our teacher the way she helped us understand each and every lesson that she has given to us. Thankful for understanding the situation we are in. We are in this together. 😊

Fifth post: Media and Information Sources.

INDIGENOUS MEDIA AND INFORMATION

Indigenous media is said that it was formed by a local group of people. This pertains about the national tribe that passed using various forms of media or other ways just to contact other people.

There are many forms of Indigenous media which are the folk or traditional media, Gathering and Social Organizations, Direct observation, Records that may be written, carved, or oral, and lastly the oral instructions. Using these forms they were able to communicate with each other with less hassle and having better parts of the information.

Information Literacy is significant for the present students, it advances critical thinking approaches and thinking aptitudes posing inquiries and looking for answers, finding information, forming opinions, evaluating sources and making decisions fostering successful learners, effective contributors, confident individuals and responsible citizens. Kids and youngsters should not just have the option to pursue for data; they likewise should have the option to work out what trust they should put on the data and to distinguish when and how individuals are meaning to convince or impact them.

They should have the option to recognize what is genuine and significant for school as well as for learning, life and work. Present day media comes in a wide range of organizations, including print media (books, magazines, and papers), TV, films, computer games, music, phones, different sorts of programming, and the Web.

The Development of media amazes me truly. The progressions that it took since the time the past enormously improved, in the manner in which it serves the individuals in carrying them news and complete with diversion. I watch the television and the shows were changing identified with the occasions and the pattern today, and these things are essential for huge numbers of individuals and the progressions it brought As I learned the evolution of communication media, past, present, and future.

The Evolution of Media describes the history and development of media technology. I learned also that this presents a simple methodology to help predict the success of new media products and services, using sample analyses to illustrate the process. The Evolution of Media is a useful supplement for foundational courses in mass communication and communication history, as well as a first step for anyone interested in understanding the big picture of communication media.

Introduction to Media and Information Literacy.

What is Media and Information Literacy?

First, we will distinguish what is the Media, Information, and Literacy. I learned that media are the physical objects used to communicate with through physical objects likes phones, televisions, radios and etc. Also, I was thought that information are facts provided or learned about something or someone. It covers the processed data from study, experience,and such. And literacy is the ability to read and write, to understand, identify, and communicate using printed and written materials.

So to combine all of it the Media Information Literacy is a fusion of the various information and media sources and incorporated with the concept of literacy.

In Media and Information literacy there are laws.

The first law states that the information, communication, media, and the internet as well as the other information providers are fkr use in a critical covic engagement and sustainable development. The second law says that every citizen is a creator of information/knowledge and has a message. The third one states that Information, knowledge, and messages are not always value neutral, or always independent of biases. While the fourth one stated that every citizen wants to know and understand new information, knowledge and messages as well as to communicate, even if she/he is not aware, admits or expresses that he/she does. And lastly the fifth, Media and information literacy is not acquired at once. It is a lived and dynamic experience and process.  These laws are guides for us to students to look at media information and literacy at a deeper or at another level.
