I can picture Rook and herself being childhood friends or something? Unless you want them to just meet? If so, we could have him not be fazed by her tsun'ness when they first meet and have it that it was always a coincidence whenever they bump into each other. If childhood friends, they could have a sisterly-brotherly relationship or something.
The main question is what do you want?

It’s hard not to fall behind, and I would gladly accept your offer of help, but you really don’t need to go out of your way to assist me or anything.”
"I'm sure you'll get in!" He insisted. "Besides, you don't need to worry about it now. You still have next year." It was a surprise for himself to get into college. He had his cousins to thank for knocking some sense into him.
