āDo you keep anything in the icebox besides photo chemicals? Iām feelingāā āSure.ā
Therese heads to the icebox, where she fishes out a couple of beers. She turns back to find Carol fighting back tears.
Therese is frozen for a moment, not knowing exactly what to do. She approaches Carol but hesitates, looking down at the beers in her hand before setting them down on the counter.
She proceeds gingerly, putting a tentative hand on Carolās shoulder, squeezing it. Very quietly, still turned away, Carol breaks. She lowers her head as Therese steps closer.
