I have been thinking about how Pei Su starts touching Luo Weizhao very tentatively in the later episodes, and at the same time in the flashbacks we see young LWZ swatting young PS over the head all the time. We see two people really touch him in these memories, LWZ and his father, and his father very gently cups his hands while he kills the bird. No wonder this is so warped in his head: Love is conveyed with violence, and hate with tenderness. I think he becomes aware of that, and tries to break the cycle, that is why he is so cautious at first.
