WHAT KIND OF WOMAN DOESN’T HAVE AN AXE?

NAME: r/osa d/iaz. ALIASES: prefers going by diaz or detective diaz to most. in fact, you’re not allowed to know her name at all. you don’t know her name. you know nothing. (also, SOMETIMES her friends may call her rosie and ro-ro. don’t try it if you want to have a face by the end of your sentence.) emily goldfinch to a few too friendly neighbors. she’s got a lot of names.

AGE: 30-34 years old (season and verse dependent.) GENDER: cisgender female. SEXUAL ORIENTATION: bisexual. ETHNICITY: born in america to first generation immigrant parents;  daughter of a colombian father and bolivian mother. ZODIAC: aries sun / scorpio moon. BIRTHDAY: anyone over the age of 6 still celebrating their birthday should go to hell. (april 15th.) OCCUPATION: detective for brooklyn, new york’s 99th precinct. CURRENT RESIDENCE: brooklyn, new york. BIRTHPLACE: bensonhurst, new york. FAMILY: an absolutely gigantic, loud, too loving family that she’s finally embraced after her time spent in jail. in her immediate family, she has two sisters and a niece she’s close to. her parents are both still alive.

GENERAL PERSONALITY: tough, smart, hard to read, and scary as hell.  rosa is blunt and to the point when she’s not being bitingly sarcastic, and unafraid to hurt someone’s feelings if she has to (and depending on the person, quite frankly finds enjoyment from it.) doesn’t bullshit someone, either; if she’s upset, knows she fucked up, or just generally annoyed she will be honest. (a fan of tough love and hard truths, despite her mysterious nature. she loves her friends, and as she’s gotten older genuinely wants good things for them.) loves to win and can be a very sore loser about it. very competitive and aggressive. sometimes can be more bark than actual bite, especially after her stint in prison;   the product of a sensitive soul hidden very,  very deep beneath her hard outer shell.

APPEARANCE: intimidatingly hot, and she knows it. black, thick curly hair to the middle of her back that she sometimes highlights with caramel. a fierce, bare-your-teeth smile is often paired with a red lipstick. pretty much always wearing a leather jacket, tight clothes, and black colors, but sometimes she spices it up with color. has an eyebrow scar that she lets people generally assume came from one of her many brawls but actually came from falling as a child.

HEIGHT / BODY TYPE: 5′7 but generally wears heeled boots that put her around 5′9. athletic and fit body, as she stays in incredible shape for her job and because she’s a badass.

LIKES: gratuitous violence. destroying stuff. a little chaos. drinking in silence. flying to random cities, getting absolutely trashed, and hooking up with hot strangers that she never sees again. dangerous and scary people. kickboxing. leather jackets. people knowing nothing about her, except these specific things and definitely not things like—  romance movies. the color pink. spending time with her friends and family. dancing, particularly ballet and classical dance. gymnastics.

DISLIKES: revealing pretty much anything about herself, most notably her feelings. people that pry too much. feeling vulnerable or small. needles. getting touched. when people can’t take a hint. catholic school and nuns—barring her favorite, sister bernadette —as she’s got more than a few bad memories from it.  people bringing up her past, mostly because she left being a model student at catholic school to become an amazing ballerina at the american ballet academy (and it obviously doesn’t mix well with her tough image.) crying. overly sensitive people.

ABILITIES: an incredibly smart and well-trained detective, rosa knows her shit.   she’s a jack of all trades when it comes to weapons — a fan of her axe, her shotguns and pistols, her machetes, her throwing knives… — and not afraid to show it.  rosa rides her motorcycle as often as she can,   and as fast as she can.   she enjoys working on motorcycles and cars in her spare time,    and is good enough at it that she fixes up celebrity cars. incredibly good at picking locks. pretty much grew up fighting, but she’s also been professionally trained and is thus intimidating during hand-to-hand combat. (mostly now just used for taking down runaway perps, though, but she’s always down for a good brawl.)
