Kill me now.
Hi
Iâm Willow.Â
You seem awful cheerful. I'm Rosalind, by the way.
New York, here I come~
Tell me about it. I went back to McKinley for a few days, came back, and bam. Awesome. Canât wait.
Huh. Well, your animals seem pretty interesting. Neither can I
New York, here I come~
Oh wow. Well, you must be pretty sneaky to keep it hidden. Any other pets or?
Well. There is, sometimes, this pigeon who likes to stop by. He got stuck in here, and now Iâm pretty sure heâs in love with my cat, itâs weird as fuck. I can close the windows though, if you want.
Nah, it's fine. I don't mind. But it is kinda different. I mean, a bird and a cat? Anyway, I think I'm gonna get there sometime tomorrow. Just a heads up.
New York, here I come~
Nope, no allergies to animals or food or anything~ So, Iâm assuming you have a cat since you asked that?
Yep. Had him almost the whole time I was at McKinley, and faculty never found out. Score.
Oh wow. Well, you must be pretty sneaky to keep it hidden. Any other pets or?
New York, here I come~
Awesome. Finally, thereâll actually be someone I know in New York. Not allergic to cats or anything, are you?
Nope, no allergies to animals or food or anything~ So, I'm assuming you have a cat since you asked that?
New York, here I come~
Awesome. So, whenâre you getting here?
Well, considering that school starts really soon, probably this weekend or next week or something like that.
New York, here I come~
Should I be taking that as a compliment?
You definitely should. I only tolerate a certain number of people.
New York, here I come~
Iâm lonely as fuck. Come hither, yo.
I don't hate you, so sure. Why not?
New York, here I come~
But first I need a place to stay... Let's hope I can stand the person that offers without wanting to kill them on the first day.
I think that culo really had a death wish.
Ugh, why am I so tired?
Catching Up || Emma and Rosalind
Emma laughed at her simplistic tone, âYou should become the mayor. Then you could issue a statewide rule that everyone must leave early when going somewhere to help decrease sidewalk traffic.â She teased. She lead Rose over to a bench where they sat down together. She watched her go threw the photos, looking at them as well. It was funny how a simple picture could bring back so many memories. Her smile continued to lite her face as she hugged her back. âI just thought you could take them with you to your new school and whenever you start getting homesick, you can look at them and remember all the stupid, but fun things we did.â She explained, âI was going to put them in like a special album but, it was way to much work.â She laughed softly.
Nodding, her smile grew a little sad as she thought about it. Emma had purposely avoided all thoughts regarding Rose moving because she knew that it was going to be weird not having her a short walk away. âYeah. Itâs weird to think that Iâm not going to be able to hang out with you whenever I want.â Her smile grew a little sad, âI mean Iâm happy you got into the school you wanted to and all, but itâll just take some adjusting.â She admitted. âWeâre still going to stay close though. I mean Iâll come visit you and stuff, right?â
Rosalind rolled her eyes. "I would absolutely hate to make you work so much, Em. That would be terrible!" She laughed and poked the girl's side. "Just kidding. But really, this is the best," the brunette said, still smiling. She raised an eyebrow at the other girl when she noticed her smile faltering a little. She knew Emma and she could tell when she was upset about something. Her face softened as she voiced her concerns and she nodded. "It's definitely gonna take some adjusting for me, too. And we'll definitely stay close and visit and everything. I'm just glad you didn't end up staying in California. Then who knows how many murders I would have committed." She tried to joke around a little, seeing if she could cheer her best friend up.
Suddenly, an idea struck the latina. Sure, it was probably one of the cheesiest things she'd ever come up with, but she didn't mind. As long as it set Emma's mind at ease. She had seen several pictures of just herself and a few of just Emma, so she pulled out one of each. She handed the one of herself to the blonde and put the one of Emma on top of the stack of memories. "There. Now we'll both be able to have each other with us everywhere, even if we're really a few states away." She waited for her friend's response, hoping she didn't just laugh at her cheesiness.
Catching Up || Emma and Rosalind
Emma couldnât stop herself from laughing as she listened to Rose. They had always been good for each other. Emma would calm Rose down and Rose would remind her that she couldnât let people walk all over her. âI know, itâs been weird not having you around!â She told her, realizing how long itâs been since theyâd been together. âWell itâs New York, what did you expect?â She asked with a smile.Â
Handing her the envelope, she shrugged, âItâs nothing special so donât get too excited.â She tucked her hair behind her ear as she watched Rose open it. Inside was just a bunch of pictures from over the time that theyâve know each other. âI finally printed all those pictures that Iâve taken, off.â Smiling softly, she watched her reaction.Â
Rosalind shrugged. âI guess youâre right. But still. I donât understand what the hell theyâre all rushing for. Theyâll get there eventually. If theyâre running late, maybe they shouldâve left earlier,â she said, making it sound like it was the simplest thing in the world.
She looked at the girl and rolled her eyes. âIf it isnât special, you wouldnât have bothered giving it to me, would you?â She laughed and took the envelope, curious as to what was inside it. She opened it and smiled as she looked through all the pictures of them. As the memories came flooding back, her smile grew wider. âNot that special my ass! This is amazing. Thank you so much, Em.â She brought her friend in for a bear hug. It really did mean a lot to her. She pulled away and held out the pictures so she could look at them more. âItâs kinda weird to think about us not being in the same state and school and everything, you know? I mean, weâve basically done everything together for so long.â
Catching Up || Emma and Rosalind
Being new was never easy but, so far Emma was really liking it here. It had taken just about all night but, she had finally gotten all her stuff unpacked and put away. Since it felt like it had been forever since she last spoke or had seen Rose, she was excited to hang out and catch up. She was glad that Rose hadnât left for college yet but knew that even when she did go, they would still hang out and talk all the time.
Emma walked quickly over to her desk to grab the surprise that she was going to bring Rose, but frowned when she found that it wasnât there. Looking through the stack of papers that was sitting there, she searched for the light purple envelope. Finally finding it, she grabbed it and walked out the door. Once she got to the lobby, she looked around for Rose, a smile already on her face. Spotting her leaning against the wall, Emma walked over and snuck up beside her while she was looking the other direction.Â
âBoo!â She whispered in her ear before laughing softly. âSorry for taking so long! I couldnât find your surprise.â Emma explained before showing her friend the envelope. âIâve missed you!â She told her honestly, before hugging her tightly.Â
Rosalind kept scanning the people that were there. She perked up a little when she spotted a blonde girl, but she slumped back against the wall when she realized it wasn't Emma. What was taking her so long? She usually wasn't the late one. All of the sudden, the latina heard someone whisper in her ear and jumped a little, her heart rate speeding up. She calmed a bit when she finally realized who it was that had snuck up on her.
She let out a soft laugh and turned around, hitting her on the arm gently. "Don't do that! I thought someone was about to kidnap me or something!" She raised her eyebrows when she saw the envelope. "Ooooh, surprise? Gimme!" She scrunched up her face, "Just kidding. Thanks, but you know you didn't have to get me anything." She smiled when her friend hugged her and hugged the girl back just as tightly. "I've missed you, too, Em!"
She pulled back a little. "I don't know how I haven't killed anyone without having you around to help calm me down!" she said with a laugh. "But really, some of the people I've met are just infuriating! Especially those New Yorkers. I swear, if one more of them pushes past me on the street, I will end them."
Catching Up || Emma and Rosalind
Rosalind smiled to herself as she walked. She hadn't talked to her best friend in what felt ages, let alone seen her. She was nervous that she wouldn't be able to see her at all anymore since she was going to college in New York, but somehow Emma had ended up in Baltimore of all places. Thank god for that. Not only would she be able to see her, but it would give her an excuse to escape whatever person she had to live with. She wasn't looking forward having a roommate. She hated people, except for a select few, and most of them were related to her. Well, other than Emma of course.
She finally came up to the doors of the lobby and went in, looking around to see if the blonde was there yet. Her friend was no where to be found, so she leaned against a wall and tapped her fingers on her arm. She was actually early for once. The latina hoped the girl would arrive soon and hadn't gotten lost. There was no way Rose could find her at this school.
Alright, Iâll let you know!
Cool. Talk to you later then~
