Rose pulled back, sitting once more in the chair across from Claire and crossing her legs. She smoothed her skirt down before answering. She loved Claire, she did, but there were times… “Why on earth would I have mentioned this place to her, Claire? I’ve never said a word to her about any of your business, personal or professional.”

“Besides, I thought maybe you already knew, and if you didn’t, I didn’t want to disturb you with the news until I could talk to you in person. I thought maybe it would be better for you to hear it directly from me instead of through the grapevine.”

“It seems too coincidental!” Claire retorted rudely. “You can’t blame me for wondering!” Because she was still arguing, it took a moment to realize was she regretting flinching away from Rose’s touch now. She wanted her back. The blonde was too stubborn to say it.

“Ugh..!” was the only sound she could make at her former assistant’s perfectly respectable reasoning. Claire could come up with an argument but she didn’t bother. This was Dahlia’s fault. Not the woman she loved. The author combed her fingers through the front of her hair, still pissed off and trying to distract herself. “At least tell me you think she looked haggard too,” she said with a mean little smile. “Did you know the divorce rumors are true? Cherry totally left her.” Her words were mean spirited and mirthful. Clarissa had always been a gossip, which was why she was easily handpicked to be a Real Housewife of the Hamptons and stayed on for a few seasons. It had been great publicity despite all the drama, both staged and real. “I don’t know why I ever doubted the rumors, honestly.”

Rose let the comment about coincidences slide and moved on to the next topic Claire had brought up. "I didn't know Cherry had left her," she replied, slightly surprised at the news. She didn't know why she should be; Dahlia was an actress, a good one, so there was no reason why she should have been able to tell that something that big had happened.

"Was there cheating involved? Another woman? Or just disinterest?" she asked, trying to remember what she knew about Cherry and Dahlia's relationship. "I'd heard rumors, everyone has by now, but..."

Dahlia listened as she spoke, taking this time to indulge in her drink as well. She wondered how long had the pair been on the isle. “Vacation implies that you intend to leave. When will that be?” Please take Claire with you. Perhaps an exact date as to their departure might assist in keeping her mind at peace.

“Sounds like I have a lot to look forward too already.” When it came to answering Rose’s questions she planned to lie through her teeth. Knowing the link between Rose and her boss, she may as well say nothing. “A break from everything. These days I can’t vacation anywhere without paparazzi finding me. This setting is perfect, perks and all.”

“It does, but I don’t know when I’m leaving just yet.” Or when Claire is, she added mentally. “I’m sure I’ll go whenever Claire does, or maybe a little before, to set things up for her at home, but...” Rose trailed off, smiling, and took another sip of her drink. “I don’t think that will be for a while. We’re both enjoying ourselves here, so why leave just yet?”

She didn’t truly believe that Dahlia was there solely on vacation, but she didn’t push the subject. “It is perfect, if you’re looking to stay away from the paparazzi. No one like that would be allowed here, I’m sure. The security here is truly impressive.” She looked over at Dahlia, studying her for a moment. “I wouldn’t have ever thought of you as the dominatrix type.”

“No, I don’t mean now. I mean like before last year…whatever..” Claire grimaced. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Rose, but her rage-infested brain often made her jump to odd conclusions. “Did you ever mention this place to her?” Rose explained but it did calm Claire any. She had had drinks with Dahlia a night or two ago. “Why didn’t you text me or something? Fuck.” She pushed a mad breath out from her lungs through her nose in a rush. “I know you’re not fucking friends, Rose. I’m not stupid. Okay?” she snapped.

“I don’t care what she’s doing here. I fucking hate that she is here. Dahlia Forbes existence irks the me. No matter where she is. But here? She has to encroach on every god damn fucking thing I do. She’s such a fucking hack.” But Dahlia actually wasn’t. Deep down, somewhere Clarissa knew that. She knew Dahlia was talented and had earned so much of what she had. The problem was she didn’t care. She didn’t want to and didn’t have to give her any credit. She was a thorn in her side. It was sickening. “I’m not worried,” she lied. “I just hate her and her stupid face.” She wiggled under the loving massage. The blonde wasn’t sure if she wanted to be touched right now. She was fickle as ever and still really put off on top of that. This never made for a good combination.

Kneeling beneath her wasn’t so bad at first. In fact, he didn’t mind at all except as the longer it went on, his knees started to get quite sore. Still he said nothing and didn’t bother moving in case he would get in trouble. He knew this was more about the power than anything else, but he didn’t mind since he was a slave after all. Looking up as she moved her feet, he nodded glad to be able to get off his knees. Sitting at her feet cross legged, he looked up at her waiting for her next instructions. “Was that good?”

“You were perfect, darling,” she replied. “As I said, good boys get rewards, so tell me...what do you like? I’ll take your answer into consideration. Of course, I already have some ideas, but is a reward really a reward if you don’t enjoy it?” Rose reached down, tilting his chin up a little further to look at him.

“Am I? My turn?” Claire’s look was full of fake flattery, though she really did love taking the lead. Rose was one of two people she had let see her most submissive side. “Tomorrow it’s your turn again,” she mused. “Or maybe later tonight? But hopefully I won’t leave you with that much energy,” Claire teased.

“Okay, come..” she said sitting up swiftly. “Meet me out in the living room. Take off all of your clothes and sit at the head of the dining table.” She kissed the other woman quickly again. “Got it?” the older woman could barely contain her smirk.

Rose smiled slowly. She hoped Claire wouldn’t leave her with that much energy as well, but she wasn’t about to tell her that. “We’ll see. You’ll really have to try to wear me out, won’t you?”

She stood up, already beginning to unbutton her shirt. “I’ve got it.” She smiled, stripping out of her clothes quickly and efficiently before heading to the living room and sitting at the head of the dining table. She made herself comfortable, looking around for Claire.

There was nothing to do now but as he was instructed. He nodded his head in understanding as he got on all fours, holding himself as straight as possible. Of all the requests he expected, this was probably as mild as they got. He felt her legs on his back, heels digging in a little, but he didn’t comment aside from a grimace for a moment, before settling down.

“Perfect,” she said softly, picking up her phone and replying to a small handful of emails. Rose knew that in the larger scheme of things, this was hardly one of the most strenuous things she could have asked of a slave, but it was new, and she found that she liked the power that came with having another person literally under her feet. After some time, she set her phone aside and looked down at the boy at her feet. “Garrett, darling.” She moved her feet off of his back. “Sit up.”

Lia grinned, nodding at the woman “Thank you. I am glad that you enjoy it.” and she was even more happy that she had gotten to see the reaction. Taking the fork from her, she took a bite of her own dessert, the sweetness of the pannacotta was cut by the tart passion fruit and then there was the bright splash of flavor from the berry. “Ok, I know it’s my dessert, but it really is good.”

Rose laughed, taking another bite. “It really is. I have no idea how you did all of this and made it all work together, but this is incredible. Honestly. I love desserts, more than I should, probably, and this is hands down one of the best I’ve ever had.” She smiled at the woman in front of her. “I’m so sorry. I haven’t even really introduced myself. I’m Rose.”

“No,” Claire chirped without remorse. She purposefully let there be a long pause, because she truly was just that mean. “But I put an order for something in with the concierge yesterday – from Italy. She was supposed to rush it for tomorrow night. And that is for you, beautiful.” The blonde looked up from her computer in time with the term of endearment. Rose nearby was already helping her mood. The heaviness of dealing with Dahlia sat in her limbs still. That, she could not distract away.

“You know I didn’t fucking come here to make friends. And I wouldn’t call that bitch my friend if she were the last soul on earth, really.” Rose could hardly get her question out Claire was already ranting in various, seemingly incohesive directions. “She thinks she’s so much more amazing than she is, and I can’t just like, sit by and let that happen. Not always. – And I don’t wanna leave. I want to be here. Here with you. So why does Dahlia fucking Forbes, have to be here too? She can’t just let me have this – this one thing? How did she find out about it.” And then something flashed in Claire’s mind about Rose booking her a spot here about two years prior. “You guys never talked about it….did you?”

It sounded accusatory, but only because Claire couldn’t soften herself when she was mad or didn’t get her way for something that mattered.

“Talked about what?” Rose asked calmly, careful to keep her tone as neutral as possible. “I saw Dahlia the other day, and we had a drink at the bar, but that was it. I told her that you were here, and that you’d invited me to come along with you. She told me she was here for business and pleasure, which I assume can only mean she’s here researching a role for one of her little movies. Dahlia and I are far from friends, Claire. I wouldn’t have told her anything important. We talked about the island more than anything else.”

Rose stood, moving behind Claire and starting to massage her shoulders gently. “You don’t have anything to worry about with Dahlia. If anything, I’m sure she’ll want to make sure you don’t tell anyone that she was here. Think of what her fans would think.”

Energy cursed through her veins in the form of anxiety, the petite brunette almost jumping up and down on the balls of her feet as she watched as the other started to eat her newest creation - A lychee panacotta with a passionfruit base and a berry sauce. Hopefully it wouldn’t be too weird to have the berries there, but the dish had needed some color, should she have gone with mango instead? The color would be pretty too. Taking a sip of her water so she didn’t seem too anxious, Lia smiled at them “So?”

“This is beautiful,” Rose smiled, looking down at the dessert in front of her. She was so glad she’d made the walk down to the kitchen herself instead of calling for room service like she usually did. If she had, she wouldn’t have gotten to see or taste this. Taking a small bite, she savored the flavors that played across her tongue. “This is wonderful. Really, have you tried this? You have to take a bite, too,” she said, offering her a forkful of panacotta.

Claire relaxed happily under Rose’s caress. A true relaxation with no pretense. “Mhmmm,” Claire hummed her answer in tone with the other woman’s curious tone. “Yes. It’s been a while.” Claire snuggled into Rose’s warm body before she heard her question. She turned over gracefully in her lap, coming to sit up and give her a small kiss. Images of times similar times spent in her New York City apartment. Just the two of them alone and being…themselves.

“How do you want it to be this time? I’m leaning towards making you listen to every single thing I woke up wanting to do to you and then having all the fun in doing it.” This didn’t mean that Clarissa wouldn’t change her mind mid event and go another direction.

“You know I love your voice,” Rose replied, kissing her softly. “But you’re the one in charge,” she teased. She loved knowing what Claire planned to do with her but she loved not knowing just as much. She trusted Claire enough to give over that power to her and to let it be a surprise. There were very few people she would trust that much.

“But if you don’t want to tell me...you know I love a good surprise. Especially your surprises. You’ve never disappointed me yet.”

Claire was sitting out on her suite balcony in her robe and sunglasses. Her feet were up on the iron rod front, and she was sipping champagne. Online shopping was starting to get all too tedious. Retail therapy was supposed to help, not annoy you even more. She was about to slam the computer shut but Rose’s voice was a very pleasant surprise. It caused her to pause. She hadn’t heard her come in. “Yes baby, come sit out here with me.”

Rose got up, padding out to the balcony and sitting on one of the wrought iron chairs opposite from Claire. She leaned over, glancing at the screen of the laptop. “Are you buying me something nice?” she asked teasingly, not expecting Claire to buy her anything. She never did, although Claire had bought her things in the past. “Are you all right? You seem...irritated.”

“I was willing. Probably because there are few who are desperate enough.” Those that were willing and actually really wanted to were even rarer still. Listening to her odd request, he nodded his head. “I can certainly do that.” He said tiring as it may be. “I would like that a lot.” Having no idea what a reward from her would be like. Being a furniture for her might be humiliating, but it was better than being a punching bag.

“Perfect,” Rose smiled, reaching up and cupping his cheek for a moment before letting him go. “Get comfortable, darling, we’re going to be here for a while.” Truly, she didn’t plan on keeping him there long, as this wasn’t something she’d done before. She’d read about it, however, and wanted to see if it was something she liked. What better place to experiment than here? She waited for him to kneel down before putting her feet up on his back, heels and all, exactly as if he were a completely inanimate object.

“I’m bored,” Claire groaned. She laid herself across Rose’s lap, something like a damsel in distress. To be fair, she had been writing long into the morning since they had gone out for dinner the previous night. She was less than halfway done with the the novel that would soon be due. Still, Claire was making more persistent progress in recent days than she had since she’d arrived in this paradise. Now the spoiled woman felt she deserved a reward of sorts.

The blonde sighed deeply, her eyes closing as she thought of different options to quell her idle hands. “I think we should play a game.” Her eyes opened and her half-frown turned to a devilish smile. “The kind where you…” she reached up and touched Rose in the center of her chest over the collar of her shirt. “are blindfolded and at my mercy. Hmm?”

Rose idly carded her fingers through Claire’s hair when she laid her head in her lap. She was used to this by now, and had even come to enjoy it. When Claire was in a mood like this, she always came up with very good ideas, and she was looking forward to seeing what this one would be. As always, she was not disappointed.

“That kind of game, hmm?” Rose smiled, although it wasn’t as if she would have to think it over. Her answer was, as always, yes. “I love those games. Should it be a surprise, or do you want to tell me exactly what you plan on doing to me?”

Rose’s current feelings towards Dahlia were both confused and complicated. The island was the last place she had ever thought she would see the other woman, but she felt she should at the very least warn Claire that the other woman was there, if she didn’t know already. Although, knowing Claire, Rose was certain she would already know. In that case, she wanted to talk to Claire about what she thought about Dahlia being there.

She let herself into Claire’s suite, slipping out of her heels and curling up in her usual chair in the sitting area. “Claire? You are in here, aren’t you?” she called, waiting for a response.

Dahlia sat her handbag in the stool next to her, rather than on the counter. She opted for a martini; aptly dubbed ‘the elixir of quietude’ by the famed writer E.B. White. Never had a drink matched certain elements of her personality more. Sitting back into her stool, Dahlia crossed her legs. “Far too short, seeing as I slept through most of it. I didn’t take kindly to being roused from sleep when we were ready to land.” To say she was exhausted would be an understatement. Giving 125% of herself before leaving for this trip was a must as she didn’t intend to be disturbed anytime soon.

Idle, she swirled the olive garnished cocktail stick in her drink. “How is your experience here thus far?– I’ve never pictured you as a Mistress.” Now Claire on the other hand, her overwhelming presence was enough. “Perhaps you’ve spent far too much time lurking in Claire’s shadow.”

“To be honest, I wouldn’t have ever pictured myself as a mistress, either, but it’s been an interesting experience and I’ve learned a lot while I’ve been here,” Rose replied, taking a careful sip of her drink and ignoring Dahlia’s comment about lurking in Claire’s shadow.

“It’s very relaxing here. There’s a fantastic pool, and an in house masseuse, which is lovely. Overall, it’s been a very nice vacation. I’ve been surprised by how much I’ve enjoyed it,” Rose replied. “What about you, though? What are you looking to get out of this?”

“Thank you. I think my parents had more to do with that though.” Garrett said with a chuckle. “I do like being useful.” He admitted not knowing where she was going with this. “I don’t know how much there is to say. I came here willingly, and before that I was kind of a loser, not really knowing what I was doing with my life.”

“Really? I haven’t met very many willing...participants...here,” Rose replied. She’d been under the impression that most of those in the cells didn’t want to be here, and meeting someone who did was very interesting. “Well, Garrett, I have some work I need to get done. I’m going to sit in that chair right there, and you are going to kneel down however you’re most comfortable. You’re going to be there for a while. The only thing this room is missing is a footrest and you, well...I think you can be that for me, don’t you? And then, when I’m done, if you’re very, very good and haven’t moved, we can talk about a reward.”

Drinks honestly did sound appealing right about now. “I have,” Dahlia confirmed with a nod. “And, I would love to join you.” Not entirely true, but she didn’t mind Rose’s company and since she had yet to acquaint herself with the landscape she would need someone to guide her. “Shall we?” She asked, gesturing for the young woman to take the lead.

Rose smiled, leading the way to the bar and sitting on one of the high stools against the bar. She ordered a mixed drink, not in the mood for wine and never having liked beer very much. “How was your flight?” she asked, making small talk while she waited for her drink. She took a sip once she received it, making sure that it was the way she liked it.
