Genuinely angry and upset

Before I leave, I do want to say this. Someone in this fandom genuinely gave me trauma. I don't want to say names but I'm extremely tired of bottling it up. I once crushed on them and before I knew it they just blew up in my face. That's another reason why I'm leaving and possibly never coming back. I'm tired, angry, and overall pretty fucking upset

Can we please talk about Nick Carraway's mental health

To expand on this topic, why don't people discuss how much Nick isolated himsepf I'm conversations? What I mean is, while he wad always around people, he hardly ever spoke up. As he narrates, he's looking back at past events. So this is how he saw himself. As someone that didn't speak up or really make an effort to affect or change his environment. He hated Tom, and yet he always got pulled along on Toms wacky adventures when he could have put his foot down and said no. He let Gatsby convince him to set him up with Daisy even after Nick had started to care for him. At Gatsbys party, I'm pretty sure he like awkwardly stood by the drinks table I really don't think he partied that hard. And then the was the only compliment he ever paid Gatsby: he was worth the whole damn bunch put together. Ever think that's odd considering how much Nick complimented Gatsby through his narration??

In conclusion, Nick was obviously having a lot of difficulty fitting in with the New York crowd, and he may have had some sort of social anxiety (or plain anxiety who knows) and after the events of the book, he's grieving and feels guilt over Gatsby and how he never even complimented as much as he felt he should.
