ā robert āsweetrobinā arryn
If Robin had been any more himself than he was at the moment, he wouldāve been gushing over Lorasā shirt, touching it, wondering about where he got it, who tailored it, and the likes, but he couldnāt even bring himself to reach across the table to feel the fabric. Part of Robin wanted to beat himself up for not even attempting to put himself together somewhat for a meal with Loras - this man was one of his inspirations, but he couldnāt even bring himself to look put together for him. Maybe when things were better, Robin would find a way to make up for it, but, until then, he could barely think about how down he must appear.
Forcing himself to take a small bite of the food in front of him, Robin shrugged a little bit - traveling wouldnāt have been too awful on him; getting out of the Vale meant getting away from a majority of the people who once again looked at him as if he were something to pity.Ā āIām sure youāre not that bad at cooking.ā That was the best he could do at the given time. Robin was no chef himself; while he knew how to bake simple recipes, cooking was a whole different ballpark to him, and one that he didnāt really understand past boiled noodles. The question led to a furrowed brow.Ā āIām twenty-twoā¦ā It was his way of saying that he was mostly left on his own.Ā āMy motherās got a lot on her plate right now.ā That was true. And he was an adult, he should have the capability of taking care of himself, even when things were rough.Ā āI appreciate you offering that, Loras⦠but⦠I just donāt know what you can do. Iām going to have a lot on my plate until all of this is figured outā¦ā
āIāll prove it to you sometime - when youāre feeling better and a trip to Oldtown is on the cards.ā Loras smiled, a small, empathetic little thing. Heād be sure to have takeout arriving just as soon as the point was proven.Ā āHopefully this will all blow over soon, for your sake, and your dadās...ā A sigh, heavy and slow, leaked out of him.Ā āEveryone knows your father - heās revered and respected. I know he didnāt do it, and the rest of them will know that soon too as soon as all the hysteriaās over.āĀ
Perhaps it was the tried and true Tyrell codependence that had Loras shocked at the assumption that because Robin was an adult his family seemed to be leaving him to weather this alone. It was no small thing to have oneās father accused of murder to the watching eyes of the entire nation, appalled that their Prime Ministerās life had been taken.Ā āTwenty two, thirty two, forty two - everyone needs to be looked after.ā He smiled, and shrugged as though it were a casual comment and not something he believed in deeply.Ā āYou donāt need to know right now, but when you need something, small or big, just let me know. Iāll get it done.ā He sipped at his coffee, and watched Robin over the rim of his cup.Ā āThere was something I wanted to ask of you, actually. I have this party every year, to raise money for screen production and acting scholarships - itās held at Highgarden, and I'd love it if you could come.ā It would be a good distraction, Loras thought, and a chance for the Arryns to show their usual philanthropic face.Ā āIād invite you to speak, but maybe weāll save that for next year, all current events considered. I wouldnāt want to push you.āĀ
ā renly baratheonā
Renly blinked, surprised. Honestly after slipping Loras his number at the party heād half-expected never to see the man casually again, destined to whine pitifully into Beauās lap about Lorasās pretty hair and his charming smile for the rest of time. Seeing him in a pet store of all places definitely hadnāt factored in. Though hadnāt Willas mentioned a pack of dogs? Maybe Willas lived nearby, and Loras was visiting. Renly could certainly work with that.
āTell me what a midfielder does.ā Renly said as a smile crept into the corners of his mouth. He really shouldnāt tease Loras. It wasnāt as if Renly knew how to act. But maybe itād get Loras to laugh. Renly liked that sound.
āI may have accidentally acquired a cat the other night.ā He explained before glancing guiltily at his mostly empty cart. āThe fluffy bastard wonāt leave my house, and Iām running out of canned tuna at a remarkable place. Figured if itās going to stick around I should,ā he gestured broadly around himself at the store, āMake it at home. Only, Iāve never really had a cat before. What does a cat need? How will I know if Iāve gotten the right things? Please tell me youāve had a cat before and can save me.ā
āA midfielder stands in the middle of the field and looks hot, no?ā He answered with total confidence, though there was a teasing little smirk on his lips as he did, presuming that was the position Renly himself played. Heād have to ask Garlan, though his staunch support of the Highgarden team might prevent him from sharing anything of real value. Google it would have to be.Ā
A perfectly sculpted golden brow arched up in surprise.Ā āHeās picked you. You have no choice now.ā Loras laughed.Ā āLuckily for you my sister and I had a cat growing up, so I can at least come to your rescue.ā Willas might have been a dog person, but Loras had whinged to his mother so much as a child that finally one year she had relented at Christmas. Margaery and Loras had wasted hours playing in the rose gardens with the kitten, and he smiled at the memory.Ā
āFood, litter if he doesnāt know how to take himself outside, maybe a trip to the vet to check he hasnāt got anything nasty, oh, a cute collar with his name on it in case he does a runner on you. Treats for bribery. Thatās about where it ends honestly - theyāre fairly independent.ā He shrugged, looking around to check if the store was still relatively empty, and then pushed his sunglasses up onto his head, catching some curls in them.Ā āYou got a photo of your new addition? I have to see him.ā
ā lorasā oldtown apartment
ā renly baratheonā
January 11th Stormās Landing
Renly had left Kingās Landing the minute heād gotten Gendry situated back into his own place. Not even Lorasās gorgeous face would keep him in that city. A death and two arrests? Not what he called a party. Heād always expected Robert to end up in cuffs one day, but to do so in defense of one of his children⦠that had caught him by surprise. Would Robert have done the same for him, for Stannis? Ren couldnāt imagine.
The first thing heād done once he got home (after apologizing to Coach for missing a practice) had involved copious amounts of whiskey. The second thing had apparently involved letting a cat into his apartment. Now the cat wouldnāt leave. Renly honestly had tried. Heād even taken the gorgeous, fluffy thing outside and gone to practice. When heād come home the cat was in front of his door.
So now he stood in a pet store, hoodie up and sunglasses on, trying to figure out what the fuck someone needed for a cat. There was a litter box and dishes in his cart, but not much else.
āNot the best time for an autograph, mate.ā He muttered as someone tapped his shoulder.
āEven for your hugest fan?ā Loras asked facetiously, as if they both werenāt aware that Loras knew less than nothing about sports, nor had he ever sat through a whole game of anything in his life. Though the prospect was appealing more and more these days. He smiled, green eyes glinting with mischief. How funny that he was seeing Renly again so soon, perhaps it was fate - it wasnāt as if he was often in a pet store in Stormās End, after all.Ā
Ā But, as it happened, he was planning to head up to Highgarden later in the evening to see Willas, and wanted to stop and get gifts for his brothers ever-growing collection of dogs that Loras loved as his own seeing as the lifestyle he lead didnāt let him be home enough to have one himself. The gifts, five plushie flowers in all different colours and complete with squeakers to drive Willas insane, dangled from his hands.Ā
Dressed unassumingly as he was for a risky outing in public (perfectly tailored black pants that just grazed his ankle, a dark green sweater and huge designer sunglasses that he recalled one day used to be Margaeryās before heād perpetually borrowed them) he was still glad heād made the effort when he found himself opposite the handsome Baratheon brother. He peered at the assortment of things he had. āSo whatās the story here... Planning on adopting a kitten?ā
āĀ robert āsweetrobinā arryn
Things werenāt looking too good. Theon had been right, that fateful night weeks ago; when the gossip rags decided that they had bad things to say about you, it felt awful, because you cared too much. Robin had to drive himself away from the publications that were supposed to speak of his praise in that wonderful blue suit heād worn, because his name was now associated with possible murder. He didnāt think that his father was the killer - he couldnāt believe that his father had the ability to pull things like that off, let alone understand what the note said - but some people certainly did believe it, which made things all the more difficult.Ā
Robin didnāt know how Loras did it - he looked so beautiful, even in a time like this. It felt like it had been ages since Robin last looked in a mirror. Admittedly, he couldnāt even recall the last time he showered. It couldāve been yesterday, maybe the day before, maybe the week before. He couldnāt begin to say. Sitting across from him felt odd, though. Like he was the moon trying to outshine the sun. A beggar across from a prince.Ā āThanks for the breakfast.ā Doing his best not to mumble, Robin felt himself shifting in his seat, trying to build up an appetite to eat the food in front of him.Ā āIt looks really goodā¦ā
Loras was perfectly trained in never letting the veneer of perfection crack even for a moment. He had a reputation to uphold, and a niche to inhabit - breaks from that did not come even in the comfort of his favourite cafe in the Vale, tucked at a table in the back room where he couldnāt be disturbed. Or rather, where his rather traumatised company couldnāt be disturbed. He was worried about Robin, and every time he saw Jon Arrynās name or face smeared across the news, a pang of concern had run through him so strong that he couldnāt think of anything to do but get on the next train to the Eyrie to check on him.Ā
Ā āOf course.ā Loras answered, picking gingerly at his food, more interested in gauging how best to help Robin. He looked so drastically different from the first time theyād met, Robin looking resplendent in baby blue - he looked small and vulnerable across the table, and very much like someone Loras wished to wrap up in a big blanket and keep safe forever.Ā āI wish I could have invited you over to mine, but I didnāt want you to have to travel to Oldtown, and honestly, Iām such a terrible cook that youād be even worse off.ā He leaned forward, crossing his arms on the edge of the table so that the silky shirt he wore pooled on its surface.Ā āAnd Iād hate that at a time like this.ā He swept his fringe of famed golden curls out of his eyes and fixed his emerald gaze on Robin.Ā āWhoās been taking care of you, Robin?ā Loras asked softly, wondering why the Arryns had let their boy sink to a state of such apparent desperation.Ā āAnd how can I help you? I promise Iām here for whatever you need...ā

loml:Ā unfortunately (or fortunately idk your life) for u i am on a strict diet of 90s rom coms at the moment and if i watch anything else iāll die so that narrows down our choices a bitĀ
ā shireen baratheonā
Shireen had been scared when the news first broke out but after a couple of minutes or hours, she wasnāt entirely sure, Shireen had gotten a sense of shock. Nothing seemed to penetrate her senses and as she was aimlessly walking through a room, she heard something that she hadnāt heard in a couple of hours. A laugh and she looked up with a more attentive gaze at who could be laughing during this time.Ā ā Youāre Loras Tyrell.ā was the first thing that Shireen said and she could feel heat rushing to her cheeks at her outburst. She hadnāt mean to say that but she couldnāt take it back now.Ā ā Iāll take some tea. Thanks.ā She replied awkwardly, trying to change the subject and she took a seat next to the counter.
As she watched him make the tea, it just reminded her of how surreal this evening became. There was no way that Shireen could have predicted that this was how her night was going to end up, having tea with Loras Tyrell while being investigated by detectives on the Prime Ministerās death.Ā ā My nameās Shireen Baratheon, if that helps any,ā She responded to his comment.Ā
It was not a reaction that surprised him. His presence had become a luxury since his name had skyrocketed to fame in the last few years, but he merely laughed and continued pottering around in the little kitchen.Ā āThe one and only.ā He threw a dimpled smile over his shoulder in greeting as he retrieved another teacup from the drawer where heād found his own.Ā āMilk? Sugar?ā He asked idly, as the tea steeped.
Loras chewed on the inside of his cheek as he poured the tea into the cups and mused on her name. His eyes widened and he looked over at her with the barest hint of recognition flickering in his gaze - the lack of greyscale was alarmingly out of place, but other than that, he realised they had indeed met before.Ā āNo way, you came to Highgarden once right? With your dad... heās the head of that real estate conglomerate or something, no?āĀ
ā theon greyjoy
Theon always wondered how it might affect him to one day see Loras openly dating someoneāfor him to find that person that somehow possessed the qualities he lacked. Heād never been certain of the reasons behind Lorasā firm stance on their secrecy, but given his involvement with Balonās business, he supposed it was for the best. Still, it echoed in his head constantly: not good enoughā¦.not good enoughā¦.
The same feeling of inadequacy was found with his father, and thereād been many nights Theon gazed into the mirror wondering what it was that was wrong with him that kept people just out of reach.
āIām glad Iām still capable of surprises.ā Theon smirked, leaning in to press a kiss to Lorasā jaw and then the base of his neck, gently forcing his head to the side to make room for him. His hands carefully pushed back the shoulders of that green velvet jacket, taking care with the tailored clothing (because he knew how Loras could be). Thereād been occasions where heād worn something special, specifically for Theonās hungry hands to rip and tug, but here and now he would have to make sure Loras walked out just as pristine as heād been when he came in here.
āYou know, as gruff as people make my family out to be, we can be classy when it counts.ā Classyā¦which was hardly a description for the way his hands were now roaming Lorasā thighs.Ā āItās been a while since itās been just us though.ā
Loras appreciated Theonās gentleness - a trait he knew was not second nature for an ironborn kraken like that. But it showed he had listened, that he understood Lorasā need to walk out of this room looking as if he had never been here, and that his clothes cost more than several months of a normal personās rent.Ā
āToo long.ā Loras hummed, a little breathless. His hand snaked around the back of Theonās neck and pulled him down to kiss him.Ā āI missed you. Iām sorry Iāve been gone so long.ā Shooting schedules made it hard to be in Kingās Landing on a whim, but so often he wished he could be nowhere else by Theonās apartment in the capital. It felt like home more often than heād like to admit, despite the fact he had so little claim to Theon at all.Ā
āBetween you and I, though, darling...ā He all-but-purred in Theonās ear.Ā āI think youāll find this one worth the time apart.ā In hindsight, he felt like heād spent most of the filming period very scantily clad.Ā āYou know how Dornish directors can be.āĀ
