Hitchiking Adventure - Day 3

Ahipara hasn't got a proper grocery store, so at 10 am i hitchike to Kaitaia (14 km away) to buy groceries, go to the bank and the pharmacy - at 12:30 i manage to get back to Ahipara, just in time to have some lunch before my surf lesson at 2 pm. Yes, hitchiking is that easy in New Zealand

Hitchiking Adventure - Day 2

An American couple gives me a ride from the farmstay and to an intersection between Mangonui and Kaitaia - here i get picked up by a bunch of backpackers going to Cape Reinga - again, i decide to join them.  We have a lovely day visiting Cape Reinga and on a stop by a beautiful beach on the way back. They drop me off around 6 pm in a small village, in the middle of nowhere, where i manage to get a ride to Ahipara

Hitchiking Adventure - Day 1

I get picked up by a German guy on the road after Kaeo (Hitchhiked to here from Kerikeri) - he tells me about this awesome farmstay on the way to Mangonui. Obviously, i decide to stay there as well. It was probably the most luxurious hostel yet, small, clean, beautiful, remote and with some great walks close by!
