CHARLIE'S ANGELS (2000)
The Dodge Sisters in jailbird costume for their singing and dancing sequence “Lockstep” that takes place in a cellblock in “The March of Time” .. photographed by George Hurrell, 1930
Billed as twins (to take advantage of the Dolly Sisters popularity) Betty and Beth were born not twins but actually a year apart, Betty Jane in 1909, and Dora Beth in 1910, Sprague, Washington, US.
They appeared as dancers in clubs and jazz revues throughout the 1920s and ‘30s in America, London, and Paris. They were in two German language revue films in 1927 and a German language “Visit to Hollywood” film in 1931, and the unfinished “The March of Time” an unreleased 1930 American pre-code musical film produced by MGM.
