Because I’m curious: reblog this and put in the tags 1) what kind of female characters you tend to find yourself drawn to and 2) if you have any thoughts about the portrayals of these sorts of characters in fiction*

*could mean anything: thoughts on what you think about the way they’re typically portrayed, thoughts on the relative abundance or scarcity of those types of characters in fiction, any character that you felt was handled particularly well or poorly. I just wanna know!

1. My types seem to be Sad wet cats/shelter dogs, goofballs and fun-loving chaos gremlins, badasses, unapologetically weird or not afraid to be themselves regardless of what others think, smart + clever in some way, funny, sweet and kind, stuck in the horrors, braver than they think, morally complex, that kinda thing. So basically pure cinnamon rolls who don't deserve what they got to chaotic silly goofballs and tricksters.

2. Honestly alot of my complaints tend to be how fandom treats them. Like, a number of my fave girls have been heavily and unfairly demonized by their fandoms. Mabel, Ericka, Pomni, and Ragatha being particularly egregious. Jax and Meteora's criticism is a bit more valid, though they kinda fall into the nuance trap of either being poor innocent babies or evil and bad rep. Meanwhile ones like Alice, Audrey, Ralsei, Coraline, Eclipsa, and Shego are well-loved.

For how writers treat them, I'd kinda like to see more ladies allowed to be as crazy, chaotic and goofy as the guy characters tend to be. And I kinda wish for more sweet pascifistic characters to be able to have more importance and exploration. Like, Ragatha learning to be able to express negative emotions without being hated and to be able to step back and let others do their own thing sometimes without it being a rejection of her was good, but she could have had more development and seemed initially to be a bigger character than she ended up being. And alot of her screentime involved surviving cartoony slapstick. Ralsei is a pretty good way of going about it, though he's canonically a guy or NB.

I thought it would be cute if her button eye is as big her adult avatar so as a baby its like disproportionally big in comparison to her face, I also gave her little freckles because I thought it would be cute

I'd like to imagine this is like a baby adventure where Kinger has to babysit all his kids, I think she'd be pretty well behaved little lady

I think she would be a a wanderer, just going places she shouldn't, and maybe bit of a crybaby when she'd get lost or upset but overall quite independent lil gal :P

I like to think that Gangle does solo videogame/anime adventures and Caine joins her as an interactive spectator bc he has fomo lol. Of course, he can only watch her and not make any decisions for her ; he did, however, grow fond of glamrock Freddy and sometimes forget he's just spectating when making eye contact lol.

idk dude i just dont think that the doors we saw in jax's mind were meant to be representations of how she would actually react. i think its meant to be an extreme version of how events might go in her eyes. these are like her maladaptive daydream scenarios and shit.

@ozz-ball I think there was also a fear element too. Fear of getting worse eith each abstraction the way she had with Ribbit and Kaufmo. Either intrusive thoughts, worst case scenarios, or like how fantasies sometimes include things you would NOT want to actually happen.
