“ Right? I love them.” Mary laughed, it felt nice to laugh like that. “ Nice to meet you, Rosie…how are you?”
“I have to be honest though, I’ve never participated or been around anyone who’s been a part of topless Tuesday. Oddly I don’t really think it’s my thing,” she laughed. “It’s nice to meet you too, and I’m okay. How about you?”
“My name ironically is Killian, but I promise I don’t go around killing people with my car on a daily basis” he chuckled, extending his hand to shake hers, but then retracting it quickly, thinking it’d be a little weird “As you can kinda see, introductions aren’t my forte” he told her with a shrug “I would have actually just cried and freaked out” he joked “Not blind, just– yeah, okay I can’t see shit. I have contacts, but glasses are better at night” he laughed.
Laughing at his pun, Rosie grinned. “Well it’s nice to meet you Killian, my name’s Rosalie- but people just generally stick with Rosie,” she shrugged. She was about to shake his hand when suddenly he pulled it back. “I’m not going to bite you,” she teased lightly. “That’s a pretty accurate reaction. I probably would have cried and freaked out too.” she said. “Well that’s fair enough. Which do you prefer, glasses or contacts?”
Exactly, not right now, he seems to be gone again so i have the room all to myself, and he’s a dude so topless tuesdays are back in again! Yeah…i’m Mary by the way.
“Gotta love topless tuesdays!” Rosie said, unable to stop herself from laughing. “It’s nice to meet you Mary, I’m Rosie.”
“See, I’ll always be easy to remember now. The boy that almost ran you over” he smiled and then nodded his head “Good, I’m glad. I wouldn’t have known what to do if I did run you over to be honest…” he shrugged “Pfft, I’m a great driver, I just drive better with my glasses”
“Oh of course. But does the boy that almost ran me over have an actual name or should I just keep calling you the boy that almost ran me over,” she joked. “If you did run me over you probably should have told someone, freaking out and burying the body is never a good idea.” she said as seriously as she could before smirking. “Right, so you’re blind without glasses? Good to know!” she teased with another laugh.
Again….me too. He’s one of my closest friends, or something that nature and i’m happy with who i got dealt but damn…
Awh, well that’s good! I get what you mean. It’s definitely good to be with someone like that, so I’m willing to put up with any weirdness. Mostly because he has to put up with me too.
“I was just trying to be unique with my introduction. Bet you’ve never had someone try and run their car into you before” Killian joked, killing the engine of his car and stepping out of the vehicle “I’m really sorry”
“I’ve definitely never had someone try and do that,” she laughed softly. “Honestly, no harm done. Although I am left wondering how on earth you got your license,” she joked.

His expression cooled, and before he knew it, a humourless laugh spilled from his lips. It annoyed Caine that Rosie couldn’t have just stayed in the moment for a little longer. “Well, I’m not the one who went all over dramatic and broke up with me,” he replied bitterly, praying his sarcasm wouldn’t seep into their conversation. “You should have trusted me when I said I was going to do it without even kissing the girl– you should have trusted me when I said I wasn’t going to hurt you. But you didn’t. And that was the last I ever heard from you.”
Rosie raised an eyebrow and let out a faint laugh. “I did trust you. I just-” she just what? Was stressed because she was on the verge of turning into a bird? Good one Rosie. “-- I got scared.” she finally finished her sentence. “We hadn’t ever been apart that long and I started hearing stupid things about other people who had long distance relationships that had failed, public long distance relationships and then when you mentioned being set up with someone else it terrified me because I didn’t want to share you with anyone... I got insecure, and I got stupid.” she said lowering her voice.
“I’m sorry, I seriously didn’t see you there..are you alright?!”
"I’m okay- but you know if you wanted to introduce yourself there are easier ways than almost running me over.”
He was going to pull away but when he heard her speak, he knew he couldn’t. He had to remain still for a while to let Rosie’s words process. “I’m sort of happy you missed me,” Caine admitted with a whisper. “I guess I still can’t and still won’t accept the fact that you could have moved on from me.” He shook his head when she pulled away. “Don’t be.”
Rosie’s chest tightened again when he spoke, his words just reaching her ears. A sad smile pulled at her lips and she glanced down. “I’m not the one who went on a blind date..” she said quietly, her smile faltering slightly. Normally the brunette would have been able to brush off and joke about things like that, but the night he had told her, it had already been so long since they had actually seen each other, and her insecurities had crept into her mind.
Rory smiled and shook his head “So you admit it! I was right and you were wrong!” he laughed “Victory is mine!” he smiled “I love you too.. but you’re the bigger weirdo here”
“Hey, no! that’s not how this works.” Rosie laughed, rolling her eyes playfully. “Excuse me, I’m definitely not the bigger weirdo.”
High five..that happened to me!
Really? Clearly we need to have a word with the people in charge of the roomies! [laughs] just kidding. He’s my best friend so I’m actually pretty happy I got roomed with him.

His gaze moved slowly to their hands, only because he had let go and she hadn’t. He was going to ask if she was alright, but figured that he liked the gesture; he liked just standing their in silence with her. Caine looked back at her just in time to see tears fill her eyes, wrapping his arms around Rosie in return. “Hey now,” he cooed softly. “Why are you tearing up? Tears almost always mean sadness. Why are you sad? Be happy, Rosa.”
When she felt his arms wrap around her in return she tightened her grip slightly and buried her face in the crook of his neck, not wanting to let go just yet. “I’m sad because i missed you, so much.. and seeing you again makes me emotional.” she admitted with a faint laugh, finally pulling back and wiping at her eyes. “I’m sorry.. I.. yeah.”
