A little curious icebreaker regarding Arknights' music. Feel free to reblog with your answers and you don't need to answer all of it.
1. What was a song that you didn't think you'd like but it grew on you?
2. Which one/s are your all-time favorite and why?
3. Which one/s do you not like/dislike and why?
4. Which song do you have an earworm of but it isn't particularly your favorite? Like, you just cannot get it out of your head once you hear a bit of it.
5. What musical genre do you want to hear more of in Arknights?
6. Who do you think should have a chance to write a song for Arknights? Do you want it as a character EP, an in-game soundtrack, or something commemorative (ie. Grown Up's Paradise, Eclipse, etc)?
1. Probably INFECTED by Starset, at the time I didn't vibe with it. I revisited the song a while ago to give it another listen, and the more I listened to INFECTED, the more I grew to like it. Sometimes, I would put this song on while I play games.
2. Definitely has to be Ambiguous Morality! When the trailer for I Portatori dei Velluti first came out, the song for it was an immediate banger for me! That song was stuck in my head for a while, particularly the main chorus and the lyrics before it since it's the only part I can memorize. Awaken is also a favorite of mine, just because it sounded amazing and it felt like I was attending a broadway show about pirates sailing through intense waves. :)
3. Maybe Battleplan Pyrolysis, I just don't seem to vibe with it at all.
4. Renegade...I don't listen to it, but the "I'm a renegade, I'm a, I'm a, renegade" part has me repeating that verse.
5. I'm leaning towards gothic metal, similarly to like Ave Mujica's or Roselia's music. Oh, and maybe some classical or baroque genres too — I know there's probably a lot of them, but it cannot hurt to have more. :D 6. Speaking of which, since Arknights is collabing with Ave Mujica, I wonder if they're going to make a new song for this occasion. Aside from that, other bands from the Bandori franchise composing a theme song for an operator would be awesome to hear! My other suggestion would be Coeur de Pirate, I remembered she composed in-game soundtracks for Child of Light (a game published by Ubisoft back in 2014). If there were an event that references fairy tales, she would be perfect to capture those elements for it.
