Hello! This is a fallout headcannon/fanfic blog that I started up bcs Iāve been obsessed with it for the past year or so! I havenāt played through all of the games but Iāve finished 4 and new Vegas. He loves the idea but also there is practically no where safe in the Mojave
It doesnāt take much convincing for him to agree. He is rather excited about it
He ends up taking a spare blanket with him from the followers to sit on
Arcade usually packs stimpacks, medical supplies and purified water just to be safe
He usually relies on his partner to bring most of the food but he will pack his and your favorites
He definitely enjoys more fresh food, not a big fan of prewar snack foods
Of corse none of the food you can get fresh in the wasteland really isā¦fresh
So he packs some rad x with him because of that
Heāll want to choose somewhere near the strip most of the time but far enough away from it to be away from people
If he finds any ounce of shade heās setting up camp right away
He likes to prepare the food at the picnic spot, wether that be roasting some bighorner meat or attempting to make a radioactive charcuterie board
He usually sets aside a day or two for the picnic. He usually gets to caught up in the moment to even realize what time it is until the sun is setting
Big fan of reading to his partner while they cook btw
These dates are really special to him. Itās time away from the struggles in freeside, away from all the conflicts his partner is constantly entangled in
He really feels like he can open up when itās just him and the one he loves
He attempts to teach his partner Latin. Simple Latin but still
Sometimes if itās late at night it turns into camping almost. Taking turns keeping watch as they stay close
When itās his shift he also tends to read then, he finds it calming when he dosent think about the constant danger surrounding them
Benny tells you the courier has a foot fetish despite the player not choosing that, no one bats an eye, but when Ulysses tells the courier they are responsible for the state of the divide... Society.....
Boone loves to listen to literally anything. He doesnāt have a lot to say but he thinks about a lot of different thingās
He doesnāt communicate a lot of what he thinks. He wants to keep a lot of it to himself unless it concerns the courier
Boone truly hates himself, often depriving himself of basic needs because he feels like he doesnāt need it. He only really eats old pre-war canned food which tastes bad. But he eats it anyway, itās more fuel rather than something he enjoys
It takes him a while to learn to at least like himself again. And it takes alot of work on the couriers part as well. It takes a lot of reassurance and patience
Not a big fan of sleep. He says it leaves him open, especially when camping out in the wastes. But he also does this in the casinos and motels
He also has frequent nightmares. Mainly about bitter springs but some about Carla. Both make his skin crawl and he feels like he canāt talk about either
I think the only way Boone could truly be at peace in a way is if the legion is wiped out and Caesar is dead. Preferably by his hand
If this does happen he doesnāt even come to terms with it until years later. He is still constantly on edge when traveling the Mojave because heās used to the fear
It would take YEARS for Boone to be able to even think of getting into a relationship again. Of course he still wants a family but he canāt help but think of what he could have had with Carla
Boone feels as if he doesnāt deserve his partner. In his mind he canāt love normally and he wouldnāt want to put someone through that
He was insecure about himself in his relationship with Carla. She was everything he wasnāt, he didnāt think he was deserving of her, and after her passing he thinks heās even less worthy
Itās why heās surprised the courier had confessed to him. They know more about him than anyone. They know things he was to scared to tell Carla and yet they still love him
He does not understand it at all
He needs a patient partner. He can be incredibly closed off if something is eating at him. He would appreciate being checked up on but heās not going to talk about it in the moment
Boone is incredibly perceptive and able to read his partner like a book. Great listener, he can tell always whatās bothering his partner
He usually pulls them aside, and lets them process it for a minute and ask if they want to talk about it
Not a big gift giver unless it has meaning. Like the beret he gave them on their first meeting
As I said before heās incredibly perceptive, he takes notice of the little things his partner does like stocking up on his favorite foods or buying him more ammo. He really appreciates that, he does the same when he has the chance
Not a huge PDA person. He wonāt ever initiate it in public but wonāt complain if his partner does (he really likes it but he wonāt tell them that)
Needs a partner who is willing to take control, he can take the lead but heās anxious about romance in general. It will take him a while before finding his proper footing
Boone should have the beginning of a dad bod Arcade should have wide shoulders and Veronica should have small boobs and big arm muscles thank you goodnight
Not to sure how this relationship would start but his cowboy robot charm is very appealing!!!
Victor is very much a gentleman. Heās very kind
Heād love to go on fancy romantic dates on the strip but the bulky securitron body can sometimes get in the way of some things
He does his best to make you feel special, usually taking you out on strolls around the Mojave
Picnic dates are a staple, in less crowded and dangerous areas of the Mojave
He obviously canāt eat so he just watches you as you talk about your day
Sometimes you two just hang out in his shack in goodsprings when youāre not off doing work for Mr. House
You usually just listen to him ramble about how things are going for him, maybe some drama in goodsprings
The night usually ends with you passed out on top of him
He isnāt exactly the most comfortable to sleep on so he has pillows and blankets on hand for you and you alone
His body cools down quite a lot at night which the cold part is pretty nice considering the heat of the Mojave, but at your request he can heat his body back up
Sometimes I think about arcade Gannon in the legion slavery ending and I want to rip my hair out. Being trapped for years as a doctor to a man you absolutely despise but who seems to REALLY like you for some reason. Someone who was also once apart of your same organization, someone who can speak the same dead language as you, having things in common with this man. Itās arcades personal hell, being betrayed by his friend to the highest degree. His only escape was taking his own life and even worse Caesar mourned him
I really hate Caesarās legion for like very obvious reasons but oh my god they are so entertaining. Itās genuinely like watching a car crash in slow motion. Like the faction is basically doomed to crumble once Caesar dies, if not from the brain tumor then from him being an old fart itās so funny 2 me. I truly donāt think the legion could survive once Caesar is gone, they worship him like a god. Legate lanius could not replace what Caesar means to them
