New cartoon! Continuing to develop these Herman & Brisket characters. This episode was a group effort with Josh Belford animating and Keith Pakiz backgrounding. Music by Redrick Sultan. I did the script/storyboard and voices.
The overall result is one that none of us could have conceived of on our own!

New Pencilmation is in the works. Can't wait to show you guys!
Did another cartoon with these new characters, Herman and Brisket. This time I'm working in a more simplified style, trying to challenge myself to work as quickly and efficiently as possible to tell little stories. What would normally take two to three weeks I'm trying to do in two to three days by simplifying the backgrounds, less animation, pretty much cutting every corner possible without making it look like total crap!
I know I've been all over the place lately in terms of content. The Kelpie, Genie, Yard Sale—all of these have a very different look and feel, and it's because I've been working with different people on each one. It's tricky to get a healthy group dynamic going over the internet. Without being able to physically sit down with someone, draw together and throw ideas around in realtime it can be hard to connect, but even still there is so much to learn from group work that I've wanted to do more of it despite these limitations.
This cartoon, Yard Sale, centers around a couple of characters I'm working on, a fox named Herman and a bear named Brisket. I wrote the script and recorded the voices, then put together an animatic and handed it off. Jordan (ThePivotsXXD) animated and Brett Hutton did the backgrounds based on the rough sketches. The result? Something that none of us could have done alone!

TV animation should pay attention as well!
Every time I start working on a new animated project I try to make it quick, yet somehow perfectionism always kicks in and the whole thing winds up taking much longer than expected.
So, as a challenge I'm setting a time limit for this one. Normally I do a cartoon in about two weeks. This time I'm challenging myself to complete a cartoon in two days. One day for storyboard/animatic. One day for audio/animation. This will force me to make choices and limit obsession over every detail.
Also working on a number of group projects. More on those soon!
Working on a new cartoon with ThePivotsXXD and Brett Hutton. I wrote, storyboarded and voiced, Pivots is animating and Brett did the backgrounds. Just a couple finishing touches then I will post!
