Cooper took the offered seat with a grateful smile, he was used to standing a lot as much as we accustomed to doing a whole lot of running while carrying heavy items—it seemed school wasn’t all that different to the military in this day and age. Though, he did quite prefer the cookware and supplies over the weapons any day “No need for apologies.” he says with absolute honesty, folding his hands atop the table and fidgeting with the ring on one finger “What are you studying for?” he questions, he had some extra courses to go along with his major here to catch him up the world in terms of history and technological advancements.Â
There was an awful lot to learn. Still, he smiles, flushing bright red at her praise—lord, he’d never been good at accepting praise from girls. Even if said girl in question was his great great whatever. “I always was a bean pole as a kid.” he muses, thinking back on his childhood was not a smart idea.
Even so, he fidgets some more in her company uneasy with sitting still for any lengthy period of time. “Aw that’s…that’s mighty kind of you but I like cooking.” he says, stresses the factor of it “Helps me keep occupied and sometimes I make too much for one person to eat—even someone like me. Plus, I’m always happy to save a plate or three of whatever it is I make for you.”
Rossi smiled at the boy in front of her. That's all he really is, a boy. Something she's constantly forgetting, again and again. He was a boy back when the war started, he was a boy when he was in the war, and he's still a boy now. She can only imagine what's been going through his mind while everything has been happening around him. She feels gross, to say the least, at the mere thought of how unsympathetic she's been towards him. Rossi herself has been tossed around a few times, to the point where she's been annoyed as hell, to the point where she's worried that she's going to lose whatever innocence she has left. Now here she is, standing in front of someone whom she's insulted mentally more than she's ready to admit.
Jesus christ she's a horrible person.
Smiling, Rossi pushed the thoughts from her mind and focused on the boy in front of her. "Physics, I want to be transferred into a higher class, if that's possible. Plus I don't want to be in Intro to Psychology anymore, I want to be in a real Psychology class." She explained, tapping the two large textbooks that had been pushed to the side. Setting the bag of cookies on top of the books, Rossi grabbed another cookie from the bag and started nibbling on it.Â
