“good, my bumblebee deserves nothing below perfect treatment. speaking of transformers, i have no clue where the rest of mine went. my parent’s probably gave them to my younger siblings or something, but now i want them back.” they frowned briefly before the jovial grin still returned to their face. looking at rosalie now, it was evident how much they had yearned to finally reunite with the girl again. there were moments in their life when she’d pass through their mind, and while memories of her always made them smile, it also made their heart hurt. having rosalie yanked out of their life had affected them in many ways, some in ways that they weren’t even aware of. excitement ran through their veins as rosalie jumped up and exited the restaurant with them, and in that moment they felt a sense of youth run over them. they could remember bolting out of their room every after noon to go meet rosalie at this same exact part, and this moment caused a wave of deja vu to overtake them. within a matter of minutes, the two had their feet on the mulched grounding of the worn down playground. “here we are,” they said between a sigh, releasing the others hand and roaming around the park. it looked different now; it just looked like a regular old playground. despite that, the sentiment of the park was still present. they walked over towards the monkey bars, reaching up to touch one of the bars then slowly releasing it. “remember when we used to pretend like the ground was lava, and the only way to make it out alive was by crossing to the other side of the monkey bars?” they questioned, their eyes moving back to rosalie’s and flashing her a small smile.
“honestly your only option right now is to go on a quest to find the rest of your transformers. perhaps along the way random spirits will guide you to ensure your success and various side quests to find true love will come out of it too. if all else fails and you can’t find them, then you must avenge them,” she spoke very matter-of-factly despite her silliness of her words. conversing with mason brought back a certain innocence to her thoughts and speech. since their departure, rosalie’s being had become thoroughly warped by the pangs of the knowledge that if she were to be her good, honest self she would be disappointing those who loved her. all the manipulation that dirtied her mind stemmed from this, the further twisting caused by her talent and earthly desires was only a natural progression. but now, now she felt finally pure again. her hand in theirs, she couldn’t help but smile softly to herself because the world simply seemed right again. the two were stepping back into their childhood selves, and despite rose knowing she had failed her childhood self, there was nothing better than being able to revisit her. their confirmation that the pair was at the playground snapped rose back into reality. she followed behind them for a bit before wandering off on her own, climbing onto the metal structure that was the focal point of the area. “’course i do! i also remember being mad at you for eating half of my twix bar and pushing you off the monkey bars so you’d perish in the boiling lava,” she laughed, the memory returning to her as she spoke. her eyes fell to her left and she caught sight of a wheel bolted to one of the walls of the play set. “how about when we used to pretend we were sailors on the high seas, saving various people as we went along?”
