Okay im bored at work so new oc lore

Caedmon was/is a powerful guy, during his life pre-sealment he had grandeurs of divinity and proclaimed himself a god, be it genuine ascension or falsehood. He was revered as one by some, feared by others. His magical feats amazed and terrified the masses

A group of people had known how dangerous and chaotic he was, creating a ritual to seal him away. Caedmon had heard about it and, to anchor himself in the realm, cut off his hand and placed an enchantment on it, allowing it to become invulnerable. When he was sealed away, his hand remained, and none could destroy it. So, they chained it up and kept it locked away and hidden in ruins that had traps and dangerous enchantments surrounding as to prevent anyone from releasing him

A scavenger managed to dodge around all this and found his hand, an "artifact", and swiped it. However, in doing so, they awakened Caedmon and he can communicate with the hand as well as form an eye to see the realm from his prison. He coaxes the scavenger to gather materials for a ritual that'll release him.

Caedmon can and will be humbled by the scavenger ☝️
