Churrowind my beloveds💖 they've been taking over my brain recently and I wanted to give it a try and draw them together, I'm very happy with how this came out <33
Also as an extra: some reference sheets I made for myself, specifically to understand their clothes for this drawing!
Huge fan of your PureCacao fics! Especially the yandere one, it's very *chef's kiss*.
If you have the time, and if you don't mind, is it okay to request for a Pure Vanilla cookie who decided to be a bit selfish and wants Dark Cacao just for the whole day? Like asking him (politely) to postpone his duties and go out without any cookie interfering and if some cookie tried talking to Dark Cacao, Pure Vanilla would pout and subtly sends out signs that he wants his attention?
If that is possible of course. Again, love your work :D Can't wait to read more of them in the future!
It was Pure Vanilla Cookie’s usual visit to the Dark Cacao Kingdom. Normally, Dark Cacao Cookie would be there at the front of the citadel to greet him. But today, he was nowhere in sight.
Pure Vanilla Cookie looked around, feeling a pang of disappointment before approaching Caramel Arrow Cookie, who was waiting to receive him.
“His majesty is very busy today. There’s a sudden meeting and a change in the mountain’s climate,” Caramel Arrow explained.
Pure Vanilla Cookie nodded slowly. But today was supposed to be their meeting day. Dark Cacao usually postponed anything that came up on this day.
Though he didn’t want to disturb Dark Cacao while he was busy, Pure Vanilla couldn’t help but feel slightly off. He only came here once a week now due to the hectic affairs in the Vanilla Kingdom.
Crunchy Chip Cookie soon arrived with a carriage to take him up to his usual spot on the hill. As he entered, all the maids of Dark Cacao Kingdom greeted him warmly and led him to the usual guest quarters.
Pure Vanilla Cookie sat down on the edge of the bed, looking around the room. It felt colder than before. Had Dark Cacao not prepared for his visit? No, Pure Vanilla quickly shook off the thought. He’s just busy, he told himself firmly.
After a while, Dark Cacao Cookie finally arrived.
“Pure Vanilla Cookie, my apologies for the late greeting.” Dark Cacao sat near the bed, his expression heavy with guilt.
“It’s fine. I know you’re busy…” Pure Vanilla pouted slightly.
Dark Cacao sighed. “I shouldn’t have let kingdom matters get in the way of our time. How was your trip here?”
“Oh, it was the usual. But I did notice the snow seemed thinner.”
“Yes, there’s been a sudden change in the thickness of the snow. I hope it doesn’t melt. Warm weather is… difficult for Cacaorians.”
Pure Vanilla nodded, relaxing a bit. “Oh! I almost forgot. There’s a new show at the Chocolate Mi—”
A knock interrupted them.
“Your Majesty, pardon me. The leader from Milk Cookie’s kingdom has arrived to discuss the matter we mentioned earlier.”
Dark Cacao Cookie sighed heavily.
“Let me handle this quickly. It won’t take long.” He gave Pure Vanilla a soft look before leaving.
Pure Vanilla Cookie sighed. One minute turned into thirty.
When Dark Cacao returned, he brought food with him—a small tray of chocolate mochis, cacao fish, and special vanilla ice cream.
“Sorry for the sudden leave. Have you eaten? I asked the chef to prepare this vanilla ice cream just for you.”
Pure Vanilla sulked a little but remained polite. “Okay…”
They began eating.
“Oh my! This vanilla ice cream is delicious! How did they make it?”
“Remember the vanilla shoots you shipped over? We used them to make something sweet. The people really enjoyed it.”
“Oh, I should ship more! How about blueberries, too?”
Another knock.
“I’m sorry, Your Majesty. The Espresso Clan just arrived and needs to discuss their accommodations.”
Dark Cacao Cookie winced.
Pure Vanilla lowered his chopsticks. “Dark Cacao Cookie, it’s rude to leave someone mid-meal. You can meet them after we finish. I promise I’ll be quick.”
“I would love to… but this is urgent. I’ll be back in a minute.”
Pure Vanilla jabbed his mochi in frustration as Dark Cacao left once again.
Two hours passed before Dark Cacao returned. He found Pure Vanilla sitting on the bed, quietly reading a book.
“I’m sorry it took so long. How about we go out? I can show you the things we’ve been working on these past weeks.” He draped a warm coat over Pure Vanilla’s shoulders.
Though sulking, Pure Vanilla agreed. Why not?
They walked together through the snow, and Dark Cacao pointed out winter flowers blooming through the frost. Snow lions, once hostile, now approached them with calm curiosity.
“And the dragon that used to disturb the kingdom? It’s still here—what remains of it.” Dark Cacao chuckled.
“Well, you did kill it.”
“I suppose so. Maybe we’ll find another dragon to ride together.”
“That would be ama—”
Another servant interrupted.
“Your Majesty, someone from Cocoa Kingdom is here.”
Dark Cacao turned to Pure Vanilla, his eyes pleading.
“Just go,” Pure Vanilla said coldly, turning away.
“Nilla, I’m sorry—”
“I said go! I’m not important, right? I told you in my letters to postpone everything for today! I scheduled everything precisely, just like you prefer. And now? You broke your promise. I wasn’t greeted by you. You left me alone at our meal. And now, you’re leaving me again?”
Dark Cacao froze as Pure Vanilla continued.
“I even asked nicely for you to stay and finish the food. But no. Go ahead. Leave again.”
Pure Vanilla looked away, sulking harder.
Dark Cacao turned to his servant. His eyes narrowed. “Where is Dark Choco?”
“The prince is training the warriors.”
“Good. Inform everyone that today is my day off. The Prince will handle all affairs.”
Pure Vanilla’s eyes widened. Even the servant turned pale.
“P-pardon?”
“Give the work to Dark Choco. I have a guest to tend to.”
Without waiting for a response, Dark Cacao took Pure Vanilla’s hand and led him to ride his royal cream wolf.
“I’m sorry, Pure Vanilla Cookie. I didn’t realize how much I hurt you. I promise to make it up to you.” He squeezed Pure Vanilla’s hand softly.
“So… where do you want to go? I’m asking as Dark Cacao, not as a king.”
Pure Vanilla giggled. “The top of the hill. I want to see the sunset you always talk about.”
Dark Cacao chuckled. “How romantic. Shall we?”
Meanwhile, back at the citadel…
“WHAT?! ME?!” Dark Choco groaned as he stared at the growing pile of paperwork.
“This is why you shouldn’t let the king get smitten!” he grumbled while signing yet another report.
Dark Choco's head spun as he signed yet another document and scanned through the next one.
"For the love of Earthbread… this pile just keeps growing!" he groaned, slamming his quill down for a moment of respite.
"My prince! There’s a diplomatic scroll that needs your signature!" a servant rushed in.
"My prince, the northern village is requesting permission for a meeting!" another reported.
"My prince, the warriors need approval for their training drills!"
"My prince, Sir Black Arrow Cookie requests a meeting in two hours!"
Dark Choco Cookie felt his temper boiling. If he had to hear one more request, he might actually explode.
By the time the palace’s chaos simmered down, Dark Choco slumped into the royal dining room, gnawing on a bitter cacao nib to calm his nerves.
The doors opened, and Dark Cacao Cookie and Pure Vanilla Cookie entered, radiating peace and warmth as if they had just returned from a luxurious winter vacation.
"Oh, Dark Choco! How are you? I brought some winter blueberries! Let me clean them up for you," Pure Vanilla Cookie said cheerily before disappearing into the royal kitchen.
Dark Choco arched a brow at his father. His look said everything: Really, Dad? You dumped all this on me just for him?
Dark Cacao met his gaze, eyes narrowing slightly. I’m sorry, son. Relationships are complicated.
They both sighed at the same time, leaning back in their chairs.
"You’ll be in my place one day," Dark Cacao added with a solemn tone.
Dark Choco smirked. "Oh, how exciting. Can’t wait." He rolled his eyes but said no more.
Pure Vanilla Cookie soon returned with a dish of cleaned and chilled blueberries, setting them before Dark Choco with a smile. "Here you go! Fresh and sweet."
Dark Choco popped a berry into his mouth, his scowl softening ever so slightly. Relationships may be complicated, but family was just as tangled—and maybe worth the headache after all.

i really love the idea that the Guardian Group has monthly meeting where they get together, and the first half of their meeting is actually reporting serious matters then the other half is just shit-talking and gossiping
