Okay gonna lay out some ground rules for the fic and characters in general

Whenever I refer to Rottmnt: Still Splinter/Lou Jitsu, I will only refer to him with those names. In this au, he considers "Hamato Yoshi" as a dead name.

Draxum may be religious but he is NOT Christian or Catholic- or any real religion. I will be making up a fake religion and theology for this au.

The boys. Lou doesn't neglect them or abuse them. Period.

Ooc. I know. I don't care really. I mean, it's my au. Ofc they'll act differently bc of certain circumstances. I'll present a version of how I think they would be and act like if the rating was mature.

In the beginning arc Drax and Lou are not in love. But the words "it's complicated" fits.

Would you describe Still!Lou Jitsu as very impulsive?

Yes. Especially during the fic. Currently it takes a lot out of him to think and it's better for him to react now than have a delayed reaction. Delayed reactions get you killed.

Which Still!character is the easiest to write for?

This is a tough question, they all have aspects I can write but certain aspects like Draxum's innate attraction to Lou, Lou's unstableness, and Big Mama's whimsical nature. Lou's attraction to Big mama too are hard to write.

I'd say that Draxum is the easiest, I thoroughly enjoy how I write his reactions to everything.

Is it troublesome to write the religious aspect of Draxum at all?

It's actually pretty easy. But certain aspects were difficult to write, such as his pure rage at being ignored by the guards. It was hard to come up with what he'd say.

I didn't plan for Drax to be religious at all, I'm not religious so it didn't make sense at first. But then I thought about what kind of significance a mask gives to him. It then led to how he's religious.

Warren Stone is in this au?? What is his age? How prevalent is he?

In the art piece, he's in his early 20's, just starting out as a reporter. He heard wild tales of creatures being in the sewers.

Everyone from Rise is in this au! Just a bit different than their canon counterparts.

He was specifically, Raph's first interaction with a human. Warren single handed disproved ALL of what Splinter taught the boys: That humans are terrifying creatures.

But don't worry- Warren lives through that ordeal ^^'

Onto questions! My question is: Blood kink???? I had to do a double take at that tag XD I expected blood, but I didn't know it was going to be like that

Truuuust me. It fits into Lou's bloodlust. It shows his obsession with blood, and what's currently happening with him. He's not thinking of blood as a sexual thing but as something to eat (drink in this case) and take sustenance from.

What drew me into your au was the violence, really. You just don't see Lou Jitsu really beat up or anything in fanworks. You think you would since he was a gladiator but I guess no one cares. Big fan of the way you characterize Lou Jitsu with how he toys with Draxum. He's gentle one moment and suddenly abrasive the next like when he cups Draxum's face before hitting it right after. Enjoyable stuff!

As someone who generally dislikes ooc fanworks no matter the fandom, you make ooc Draxum and Lou Jitsu interesting. Seeing Draxum be all skittish and holy, not a warring warrior™ is trippy but interesting! Or like how plainly unhinged and way more forceful Still!Lou Jitsu is than Rise!Lou Jitsu. It's just interesting seeing them act that way. And also Lou Jitsu-centric fics are super unpopular especially ones detailing his headspace as a Battle Nexus champion so it is refreshing to see someone fill that niche ^u^

Thank you! It was initially made for violence! The hints at romance, however small or big it is, just seeped into it at some point. I always loved Lou Jitsu, I find his angst underrated so I decided to make my own Lou Jitsu history.

I wasn't planning on Draxum being like what you said, skittish and holy. But I had to make some changes so that Lou would accept him period. Seemingly Draxum's lack of confidence is what stopped Lou from killing him.

Lou is what I consider a rather forceful person in general. Canon or not, he forces his reality, his future, to HIS whims.

Near to the end of Medical Aid! A certain scene that I just love. Let's just say they trade faces.

The baby testudine cried as Warren tried to calm it down. He knew he should've been taking pictures or at least writing notes but a literal child was crying in front of him. The very least he could do was try to make the young turtle not cry anymore. "Hey- hey- it's alright. I'm not gonna hurt you." But the child only sobbed louder, yelling, "Raph just wants papa!!!" The scream echoed across the sewer until two golden eyes appeared on the ceiling. What happened next was frightening. With lightening speed the creature dashed towards Warren, cornering him.

If I could offer a piece of writing advice: Keep your verb tenses consistent

I noticed you often switch from past verb tense (i.e., "it swooped from the cliff face and she flinched in surprise") to present verb tense (i.e., "it swoops from the cliff face and she flinches in surprise") in the same paragraph as well as in the same sentence throughout the fic. For ex. one part of your paragraph/sentence will be in present tense and the other part will be in past tense. Either verb tense is perfectly fine to use, I just suggest pickin' one for the fic and stickin' to it. It makes your writing more coherent and polished

THANK YOU. I didn't notice when I do that lmao. I try to stay consistent (grammarly saves my ass sometimes- Google docs too-) but there's only SO MUCH they can do. If I had a beta... That'd be nice. (I have asked for one on a couple of servers imma apart of but like- dem dead lol.) However, I'm glad you told me- I might just do full edit of both chaps again (including the standalone-) But alsoo I did write them all (and edit) in the dead of night edging to early morning. Which... Is highly... Weird now that I think about it.
