bio
Rowan was born to the happy couple, Riley and Kelsey Endsley, in Warwick, Rhode Island in the spring of 1996. Her mother liked to tell her the story of the night she was born, when it was pouring rain and she thought her father was going to crash the car, he was driving so fast. The weather, she told her, was just like her daughter - unpredictable and beautiful all at once.Â
She grew up happy. Her mother was kind and taught her how to paint, which became one of her favorite past times. She often goes to it in times of distress, in order to clear her mind. Her father worked for the secret service.Â
Rowan wanted to be a painter growing up - her goal was to go to the Rhode Island School of Design.Â
Her father was killed during an overseas visit with the President while surveying the area. It was sudden, and no one really knows what truly happened, but when the news came back to the family, both Rowan and her mother were shell-shocked.Â
Her mother turned inward, and Rowan outward. Kelsey became a ghost, and Rowan threw herself into her studies. Her mother didnât even blink an eye when she told her she was going to a school away from home. What she hadnât told her was that the school wasnât normal, and what she had learned wasnât either. She was going to be a spy, and she was going to work, just like her father.Â
She threw herself into her studies - it was the only way she knew how to cope. When she grew older, she found that the mechanism wasnât exactly healthy. It was when she graduated that she decided to take a few years off and travel. With her withdrawn mother a ghost in her home in Rhode Island, Rowan went and traveled around Europe. She will tell you her favorite place is Amsterdam.Â
She got the letter to the academy and, without much resistance, accepted it. While she had taken the time to re-find herself after hers of losing her identity in the sorrow of losing her father, she found that she enjoyed being a spy, and that was what she wanted to become.
personality
Rowan can be described in one word and that is: complicated.Â
She is quick to anger, but only in situations and with people who she cares about. She has a tendency to think before she acts in times of stress.Â
She is quite friendly; she tries to get along with everyone - it was something that she learned from her father when she was younger.Â
She can get in her head a lot. This tends to make her quiet and forces her to be distant.Â
Sheâs extremely open about what she likes and dislikes. This definitely pertains to people and her sexuality as well.Â
misc
She likes to paint - itâs her one part of her mother that she hasnât been able to give up.Â
She talks to her mother on occasion, but only to make sure that she is still doing okay. She keeps herself updated on the medication her mother takes and the therapists she sees.
She has a tattoo on her rib cage - a water color of a paint brush.Â
Her favorite weapon are throwing stars.Â
She wishes she had siblings growing up, because she was often alone, but she also knows that she is glad to know that no one but herself and her mother had to go through the loss of her father.Â
Her favorite color is scarlet.Â
Her favorite book is the Great Gatsby.Â

â SO, CORGI. iâm telling ya, itâs the way to go, â  he teases.  â thatâs exciting. do you have a place picked out and everything ? â  caden almost asks what her mom thinks about her going abroad, but stops himself.  â you should at least stay for the fourth of july, your last american holiday. â
âi do,â she tells him, nodding her head. âitâs an apartment in north greenwich. definitely a step up from a gallagher dormitory.â cora had helped her find a few places, mainly because she couldnât ask dimitri for help, given that he lived in dc. âyou say that as if i will never be back to america,â she teased. âbut the fourth of july was my fatherâs favorite holiday. it wouldnât be too much to stay.âÂ
he fully expected questions like these from clementâs family, but he figures that clementâs friends are pretty much like family anyway so it still counts. without confirmation that rowan was either serious or not left drew a bit confused on how to act, but he definitely erred on the safe side. âweâre..dating.â he replies before he turned to look at her, slightly frowning. âcome on, youâre gonna tell me that as a scare tactic?â even if it worked. what did he have? tsunami survival skills?
rowan nodded her head, because she suspected as such, but that didnât mean that she wasnât going to try and delve for more information. she looked at him expectantly, raising an eyebrow at him. âam i going to have to prove it to you before you believe me? because i think i can take you.â she looks him up and down with a smirk that alerts him sheâs definitely teasing him. âhurt him and iâll maim you.â her voice was sweet, and she looked away and took a sip of her drink.Â
âyeah, i wasnât convinced that gallagher was real and i wasnât being, like, punkâd or something until i actually got here,â she laughed. ânope!â tickets were far too expensive, and not a lot of artists that she was interested in came to her hometown. âi think technically this is my concert virginity, but if iâm ever in london we should go to another one.â
âsome of us didnât have the luxury of being surprised,â rowan teased. she had gone to a spy prep school, following in her fatherâs foot steps long before gallagher was even an option. âiâm sure it was a shock.â she nodded her head, because she did have a point. âyou think youâll ever head that way?â she asked, licking her lips and looking out to the dance floor, and definitely not at her. âi wouldnât mind if you visited.âÂ
âI said what I saidâ he teased back. After four years of seeing the same faces, hearing the same voices and being around the same people it would be odd getting used to a reality where he had to see them once a year, if he was lucky enough that is. Looking at her hand and then at her, he nodded as he gently took it into his own. âNever thought you would askâ
she smiled wider, intertwining their fingers and tugging him toward the dance floor. âi hope youâre a better dancer than most of the others iâve danced with tonight,â she teased, taking her hands and placing one into his and the other on his shoulder. âalec stepped on my toes at least twice.â jokingly, she rolled her eyes, letting him know she was teasing. she paused for a long moment. âwhen were you going to tell me about this whole... you and drew situation?â she asked, raising an eyebrow at him expectantly.Â
HEâS HEARD THAT BEFORE A LOT, so hudson can only smile and let out a laugh. itâs also not a secret to anyone who knows him that he wants to work with the peace corps one day.  â isnât gallagher all about training female bonds ? â  he raises a brow inquisitively.  â but fair enough. thatâd be nice, iâd love to, â  he says, honestly. hudsonâs not sure he could swing the money for that anytime soon, but itâs nice to know he has another friend in london, after imogen.
âyou know, that is a fair point,â she agreed, nodding her head with a continued smile on her face. her cheeks were starting to hurt, she was smiling so much. god, she missed him! âlou and jo plan to visit. louâs boyfriend works for the same agency, so iâm hoping to see her often.â she doesnât admit out loud how nervous she is about moving somewhere she knows no one.Â
                      @rowanendsleyâ
if she were a sim, her plumbob would be on the fritz, sparking green because nothing could ruin this night. sheâs finding it hard to focus on anything when beyonceâs going to take the stage soon, but her path to the standing area is is riddled with faces she canât bare not to talk to, rowan included. â  did you find hudson ?  â she knows they were close. â  did you know thatâs his last name ?  â
âof course,â she said, a smile on her face, because she was so happy that hudson was here! she had missed him more than she realized. with everything going on, it was nice to see a familiar face and relaxed her in the way that hudson did. âand yes,â she laughed. âi think hudson fits him though. better than any other nickname for richard. imagine everyone calling him dick?âÂ
â YOU SHOULD BE, â  she pushes.  â you better not let anything get in your way, alright ?  youâre rowan fucking endsley. â  the kiss on her head, though cute, has jo making a face. she just canât help it.  â i doubt that. â  but she also doesnât like the idea of being replaced with a british version of herself.
âiâm rowan fucking endsley!â she repeats, and brings her hand up to cheers the exclamation, not really caring about some of the looks that are sent her way. she brings her drink back down and takes a sip, looking over at her friend and smirking slightly. âi promise that both you and lou will always be my number ones.â she bumps jo with her hip.
âYou know I canât dance right?â Alec reminded her. He had many skills, mostly those of the physical variety, but dancing was not one of them. He had two left feet. But Alec was smart enough to not argue with his friend, especially tonight. âLead the way,â he said with a smile as he held his hand out to her.
âitâs just casual swaying back and forth. youâll be fine,â she tells him, waving off his concern. it was not as if she wasnât familiar with his two left feet - theyâd danced together a number of times before. she grabs his hand with a grin, intertwining their fingers as she drags him to the dance floor. rowan pulls him close, wrapping her arms around his shoulders. âso howâs the fancy job in dc?â she asked, raising her eyebrows expectantly. âany women in your life i should worry about?âÂ
â WHATâS WRONG WITH CORIGS ?  theyâre cute. i wouldâve gotten one if they had any at the shelter â and lucy hadnât been there too. â  because letâs be real, he wouldâve chosen lucy over any dog. sheâs his baby. caden has no idea what a staffy is, but he nods anyway. flashing her a smile, he leads her to the dance floor, arms moving around her carefully.  â when do you go to london ? â
âthereâs nothing wrong with corgis,â she replies, laughing softly. they just seemed a little too cutesy for her. plus, she was going to be living alone in a new city; a corgi wasnât exactly an attack dog. rowan takes his hand, placing her other against his upper arm, just below his shoulder, and starts with the rhythm of the music. âbeginning of july,â she tells him. âiâm supposed to spend some time with lou and jo in dc, then i go back to rhode island for a few weeks. to pack up all my shit. you know.â she shrugs.Â
âWhat can I say? I always have to show up and outdress everyone.â Though, despite his joking words, his arms wrapped around her as well as he pulled her close. âIâve missed you too,â Emmett said softly, lips dipping into a slight frown during the seconds she couldnât look up at him. But when they pulled away, the smile was back, as if nothing was wrong. âThank you, glad to be back.â A beat. âAre you okay? I heard that this year was a mess!â
rowan looked over emmettâs face, trying to see how he was really doing, to see if he was lying to her, but when she found nothing, she let it go. âiâm fine,â she said, shrugging her shoulders. âstuff about my dad got out from the book, but itâs nothing i canât handle.â she didnât really know any of the double agents, so she didnât feel as betrayed as some of her classmates. she squeezed emmettâs arm earnestly. âdance with me,â she urged, offering her friend her hand.
CHUCKLING LIGHTLY, hudson smiles down at her.  â nothing set in stone yet, but i want to look up some volunteering opportunities with the peace corps. maybe go back to school in a year or two. â  thereâs certainly not a lack of options for him, which is both overwhelming and amazing.  â london, really ? â  he doesnât bother to hide the surprise in his voice.  â wow, congrats. so youâll be the next bond ? â  he teases.
âthat seems fitting for you,â she agreed, nodding her head in understanding. whatever he did, rowan believed he would be amazing at it. shrugging her shoulders, rowan smiled almost sheepishly. âthe world needs a female bond, donât you think?â she asked teasingly. âtoo bad iâm not actually british.â damn her american citizenship! âyouâll have to come visit me,â she tells him.Â
â MAYBE YOU COULD GET A DOG OF YOUR OWN. a british one, â  he adds, as if that means anything.  â you could get a corgi, like the queen. â  corgiâs are really cute. her offer makes him smile, nodding.  â iâll take you up on it. but for now, â  caden offers her his hand.  â one last dance ? â
âcould you really see me owning a corgi?â she asked, eyebrows furrowed as she looked at him skeptically. âmaybe an english pointer, or a staffy.â rowan looked down at cadenâs hand for a long moment before reaching out and covering his hand with hers. âone last dance,â she tells him, and starts toward the dance floor.Â
âoh, right.â things were about to change for her, but not nearly as much as things would be changing for the graduates. âgood,â elliot smiled. âhonestly, i keep forgetting sheâs here. which sounds crazy, i know, like how could i forget.â beyonce being at gallagher is high levels of crackhead energy and she knows it. âiâve never been to a real concert, and i donât think this really counts, but itâs still cool.â
âsometimes things are a little too impossible to believe until theyâre right in front of you,â she pointed out, laughing softly. which was how she was feeling. she wouldnât ever think sheâd see beyonce at such a small school like gallagher. âyouâve never been to a concert?â she asked, frowning slightly. âweâll have to go to one together. iâll take your concert virginity,â she teased.Â
âDie-hard. I live for Queen Bey,â Alec drawled out in return, smirking down at her. Honestly he was shocked that the school had gotten the superstar, though he wasnât as excited for the concert as some of their peers. âMaybe I missed it here a little.â
âQueen Bey? Now that is something that I would never have thought would come out of your mouth,â she laughed, shaking her head with a smile still on her face. She offered her his hand, wiggling her fingers. âCare to dance? For olâ timeâs sake,â she teased. âAnd really? You canât say no.âÂ
âSee, you get it. Pride is blue, an underused color, but so traditional.â Yes, sheâd thought all about this. The deeper emeralds of envy, probably ones sheâd have accented with a black. âOh, mermaids are so out, Rowan. I canât be a runaway bride if I canât run,â sticking her tongue out, it wasnât clear if the blonde was kidding or not. âAre you going to stay in touch or cut everyone off?â Being a third year was already feeling grim.
âblue, huh?â she asked, raising an eyebrow. sheâd never really thought about the different colors that could correspond to the seven deadly sins, but thinking about it now, sheâd say pride would definitely be purple. âtouche,â she laughed, shaking her head. âno mermaids then. though youâd look amazing in it,â she pointed out. âiâll stay in touch with some people,â she admitted, shrugging her shoulders. âthough iâm sure iâll lose touch with some. i find that sometimes youâre friends with people because of proximity only.âÂ
