My part of this year's Lilymud Secret Santa was for Clopin over on devArt! Their character Caden had some amazing colors that begged to be used in a cold, snowy scene so!
“on a scale of one to absolutely miserable,” rowan started, coming up behind caden and placing a hand on his shoulder as she walked around to his side. she was smiling, having a fun time despite it being her last gallagher event before graduating. “how much are you going to miss me?” she dropped her hand, placing it around her cup with the other that was already in place. “you can be honest. this is a safe space.” she gestured around them, a knowing smirk on her face. // @cadenlucca
She thinks her professor might hate her. That was the only reason that Rowan can think of for her to pair her up with Caden for a combative practice. They had not spoken since before the break, but Rowan didn’t really speak with anyone during the break. Keeping her head on straight, she faked a punch to his jaw and wrapped her hands around the back of Caden’s neck, bringing her knee up to get him right at the bottom of his rib cage. She bounced back away from him, light on her toes. “Give up,” she said, smirking just a little as she shook out her wrapped hands, and raised them to keep herself ready for attack. // @cadenlucca

Rowan: Guess what
Rowan: Guess what I just finished 😇😇
Much like she had learned to do months before, Rowan was trying her best to ignore the dull ache in her chest every time that she thought about Arden. And because of this, she was ignoring painting. Even when her fingers itched to paint a scene or she saw someone who was beautiful enough to want to sketch, she ignored it. She was too angry. What she couldn’t be angry about? The puppy who was nudging her hand, vying for her attention as she sat cross legged on Caden’s bed. “I think you should get her a costume for Halloween,” she said casually, her gaze moving from the dog to her owner. “Or you both could match!” she teased. “She could be Chewbacca, you dress up as Han Solo. It’s perfect.” // @cadenlucca
She probably looked like shit, and in that moment, she didn’t particularly care. She’d been putting this off for a few days because everyone seemed to be at odds with her, and she really didn’t want another argument to happen. Rowan didn’t even have the energy to yell anymore; she wanted to cry for hours, and she’d already done that. Now it was time to have it out with Caden. “We need to talk,” she said when he opened the door to his dorm. She looked at him tiredly, her hands in the pockets of the leather jacket she was wearing. “Preferably now.” ‘// @cadenlucca
Rowan had finally gotten back to a point where she didn’t think twice before texting Caden now. After the week that she had before coming back to Gallagher, she really did want to talk to him, and she felt as though he would be proud of the time she spent back in Rhode Island. Seeing him from behind, she smirked, running up and jumping up onto his back, wrapping her arms around his neck so that she wouldn’t fall. “Welcome back!” she laughed, looking down at him and then ahead. “I was just coming to find you.” // @cadenlucca
Was this day trip with Caden a bad idea? Rowan knew that her friends probably thought so, and she hadn’t really brought it up with them for fear that they would try and talk her out of it. The beach on the Wannsee lake that they’d chosen wasn’t too crowded and when they’d set up their things and gotten comfortable, Rowan actually felt relaxed, which was not something that she could say often. She laid in her lounge chair, eyes closed as she tanned, when her eyes popped opened and she turned her head toward Caden. “I forgot I brought your birthday present with me,” she told him, laughing softly as she pushed herself up, tucking her hair behind her ears, and went to rummage through her beach bag she’d brought. She pulled out a small package, wrapped carefully, and offered it to him. “It’s not much, but I used the paint set you got me for my birthday. I only use it on special pieces.” Mostly because she didn’t want to use it and then use it up. She wanted his present to last her a while. // @cadenlucca
