Ophelia couldn’t help but smile a bit before speaking. “I’m sorry for scaring you! Truly wasn’t my intention. Just wanted to help.” She offered, giving a friendly smile. “Which books are they? I could probably tell you where they are.”
“It’s okay I get scared very easily! Quite a jumpy person really.” Rocking on her toes the blonde handed the woman the piece of paper. “Auradon, A History. And The Politics of Kingdoms. I’m trying to brush up on my history.”
she nodded, a big smile on her face, “good. i was secretly hoping you’d choose that one.“ she handed it to the young woman and put the other dresses back. she approached her again, “i think you’d love lovely in any shade of red.“
rowan smiled. “well i kind of hope so. my mother was little red riding hood. red has kind of always been our color. sometimes I think i want to try something different but red never lets me down. so how can i stop.”
Ophelia was stocking shelves, trying to get herself caught up on the stacks that had piled up. Usually what happens when she doesn’t pay attention and get caught up in a book. However, she heard someone start talking and she moved towards the voice. “Are you looking for something specific?” She asked, looking at the other blonde.
Rowan was kind of lost in her own head so she was startled by the voice and jumped slightly. Turning towards the other blonde she placed a hand on her chest and laughed lightly. “Gave me a bit of a fright. Umm, but yes I am looking for something. I’m missing two books on the history of Auradon.”
Rowan was in the library trying to look up some history on Auradon. Auradon itself was still pretty new in terms of historical stand point but had a lot of influence from other kingdoms. She needed a refresher though, something new to add to the tour business. She had found most of her books but was still one or two. As she moved down the aisles the small blonde kept muttering to herself, “where are you?”
Christmas time was Baileys favorite time of the year. She loved everything about it. Bailey already did all of her shopping and wrapping. She wanted to something holiday related but was all shopped out. “So is it to late to bake holiday cookies? Gingerbread is sounding really good right now” She questioned with a smile.
Rowan held her basket of items and moved towards the girl shaking her head. “No. Never too late to bake holiday cookies. You could make gingerbread and then make gingerbread houses. My mom and I always make little gingerbread houses.” She held up her basket to show the ingredients. “See.”
if marie wasn’t busy with school or family, she loved shopping. she rarely ever needed anything, but she always usually ended up with at least one bag at the end of the day. at the moment, she was in a dress shop after one in the window caught her eye. she began browsing, her eyes laying on a pink dress. pink had always been her color - pink and white. though the right blue would bring out her eyes. hearing the girl, she turned. she loved helping people find just the right outfit. she studied the other, then shook her head. “black looks good on everyone, but i don’t think it’s your color.“ she said walking around the store, finding what she thought was the perfect dress. she found a few and held them up for the other to look at, shades ranging from a deep maroon to a magenta, “do you like any of these?“
Rowan wasn’t really expecting anyone to answer her, she was more or less thinking out loud. However she was not one to turn down friendly advice. She smiled and looked at all the dresses. Her eyes automatically went to the maroon one. It was a deep red, hazel eyes scanned over it. She had never worn or owned anything like it, her mother would never approve of something like it. But it was lovely and perfect for what she wanted it for. “That one.” She pointed, if a little bit shy. “it’s really lovely.”
with wide eyes rowan stopped at the edge of the woods. her red cloak sat around her shoulders, she always stood out with that thing but it was apart of her now, she couldn’t let it just go. blinking and taking a step back the blonde swallowed and shook her head slightly. she walked the edge of the woods when she was older, a way to disobey her mother and she usually walked them alone. as of late though she could usually meet a certain someone but not today. today it was her. rowan never took her eyes off her, fearing what would happen if she did. “i don’t understand....”
with a sweet smile rowan held out her basket. having run off from her mother’s watchful eye the blonde decided to explore with a basket of baked goods. it was a good excuse to get out of the house and allowed her to find more secret spots around auradon. however she spotted a the young woman sitting alone and she approached her with a smile. “would you like one?”
her color was red. it had always been red and she liked it that way. red brought out a certain color in her eyes, it would be seen from miles away and red just looked good on her. which is why she was so surprised to be staring at the black dress in front of her. but how perfect would it look with that red cloak draped around her shoulders. her fingers danced along the fabric, lace along the neckline and and down the arms. “hmmm, seems almost too much for me.” she spoke outloud.

Rowan Hood, daughter of Little Red Riding Hood
Sheltered her whole life Rowan grew up at her mother’s side, her father no where to be seen.
She was told constantly that wolves weren’t just in the woods and they lurked in every corner.
Her nights were filled with horror stories of the wolves and even though they were on the isle didn’t mean they wouldn’t break free.
she was naive as a youth fearfully believing her mother and grew up always playing by herself but never after sundown.
Sundown in the Hood Household meant everyone was inside, doors locked and no one answered the door
It was always clear when Rowan and Red came around. Their crimson cloaks always gave them away. And as Rowan went from scared little girl to curious young woman, her red cloak always with her.
The older she got the tighter her mother’s grip grew on her, but also Rowan started to push back. She wanted a freedom but was denied it more often then not.
That was until she started sneaking out, Auradon was not scary at night, it was magical and sometimes she would stare off at the Isle wondering if others felt like her.
despite everything her mother owns a tour guide business that showcases all the beauty of auradon and closes before sundown.
When the Isle opened her mother locked house and was scared a wolf was coming to get her. Somehow Rowan got out and saw all the people
Rowan gives tours to all the new people
The moment she saw Ian Moon she was both frightened and intrigued and really likes him, so much so she hides her relationship with him because she knows her mother will lose it.
