“Do you know your smile perks up more on the right side?” You hum, holding their face and tilting it up. “Well, my right, but its your left.” Qiu blinks, their smile suddenly turning into a slight pout.
“How are you getting distracted right now?”
As of now, you were on top of Qiu. They were laying down on your bed, and you sat comfortably on their stomach. Their hands lingered around your waist, and they started playing with the belt hoops of your pants.
“I’m getting distracted? You’re getting fidgety.” You don’t say it as an attack, but they roll their eyes like it is anyway.
“And? I just.. need to move my hands.” Qiu looks up at you in anticipation. You can’t really blame them, usually something else happens other than idle conversation when you’re on top of someone.
But you can’t stop noticing things in this position.
“Do you always fidget when you’re nervous?” Your head tilts in curiosity, and experimentally, you grab their hands and guide it away from you. With their wrists encircled by your fingers, you guide it to lay next to their head instead. “Usually, you fidget by bouncing your foot or jogging your knee. But when you use your hands, its usually because you’re waiting for something.”
Qiu looks at your face, which is much, much, closer because of the position you’re in right now.
“.... I don’t think its weird to be waiting for something in this situation.”
“So, are you gonna do anything yet?”
You blink. Qiu rolls their eyes, before leaning their body upwards to try and steal a kiss. Of course, they’re stopped by your hand pushing their chest back to the bed.
They whine. Like, actually whine. You laugh at them in response.
“I’m not done admiring you.” You guide their wandering hands back to their spot again. They clench their fist, but they don’t try to move it. “You’re so cute.”
“Yeah, well, I’d be much cuter if you look at me up close. Like, actually up close. Can you just kiss me already? What are you waiting for me?” Qiu squints their eyes at you, and you almost feel bad for making them wait.
“You bite your lip when you’re annoyed,” you hold their face to tilt their chin up, before using your thumb to set their bottom lip free.
“If you don’t like it, maybe you can try biting it.” They throw a wink at you, but it's clearly out of desperation. It’s cute how their patience runs thin so easily, and yet they don’t try to get what they want from you unless you allow them to.
With their face already in your hand, you lean closer and kiss them anywhere but their lips, using your hands to maneuver them.
“I love you,” you say, after placing a final kiss on the tip of their nose. “-and I also love that your ears get really red when you’re flustered.”
Qiu opens their mouth to protest, but is visibly annoyed when they seem to be unable to come up with anything.
