You’re a lifesaver, Roxy. I owe you one. And of course not. I promise, I’ll go back to my coffee fetching duties the second I can get some accurate pricing from these morons at the warehouse…You’d think it’d be easy to find the pricing on something we just ordered yesterday, but apparently not…
I think you'll owe me a coffee next time. Not everyone is organized. Trust me, I've been dealing with those people since we got here and it is really frustrating. There is a reason I've not gotten any sleep, besides the fact that my room is tense as hell.
Notes: Roxanne needs to talk to Tristan after a conversation with Harry that morning. They admit feelings and are now a couple.
(This is incomplete and will be added to as it continues)
Roxanne had been struggling ever since she was put in a room with both Tristan and Breanne. Everywhere she turned, it seemed like they were flirting and she didn’t know what to do. Of course she had heard about them being in the bathroom together and all the other things they got up to and what else was she supposed to think. Ever since management had warned her not to get involved she knew she was being a complete bitch to Tristan and of course he would have moved along but Roxanne hated it. She tried to avoid the situation as much as possible and it led to her falling asleep in the lobby and in the hallway, purely by accident as she tried to avoid her room. After having been woken up by Harry with a coffee in the hallway this morning she had talked to him and he convinced her that she should talk to the younger guy. Having finished her makeup, she pulled on one of the black dresses she brought and a pair of heels before a final look over in the mirror before heading down to the lobby. She looked around and didn’t see Tristan there yet so she settled down into an arm chair, and pulled her phone from her clutch as she waited.
Tristan sighed heavily as he missed his hair with his hands, trying to actually make it look presentable. It was such a girlish problem to be having, especially now. Why was he acting like this was a huge deal? He hadn't really spoken to Roxanne in the days since they'd arrives in Madrid or Barcelona or wherever they were now--he could hardly keep track. Deciding he looked fine in a simple black suit with a grey v neck, he made his way to the lobby as quickly as possible. He wasn't sure what the outcome of tonight would be--in all honesty he was beginning to feel a bit wary. Once he reached the lobby, he strode out, eyes fixed on Roxanne. "Hi. You look nice. Are you ready?" He asked with a polite smile, hating how intimidated he was by her all of a sudden. Even off the clock, he was worried about making a wrong move--this meant nothing, he tried to tell himself, and after taking a deep breath, he attempted a more genuine smile. "Sorry, I'm squashing the awkward right now." With that, he brought his left foot to the ground and moved it around, as if to mimic the act of literally squashing the tension like a bug.
Roxanne gave him a weak smile as she stood up, but she lost her balance and fell into Tristan. She stood herself up straight, letting go of him as she tried to ignore the blush she knew would be on her cheeks. “As long as I don’t fall on my face, I we can go” She said, poking a bit of fun at herself. The blond girl was nervous as is, knowing she would need to be telling Tristan how she was feeling at some point during the night, and that wasn’t something she would normally do. Smoothing her dress down, she smiled and started her way out of the hotel. “Let’s go” she said, keeping her tone light as they walked down the Barcelona streets. It was a gorgeous night luckily, and the restaurant was around the corner so they could just walk there. Being out in the open air and not stuck in the hotel already made her feel better and hopefully it would ease the tension that was still clearly there. That wouldn’t go away until they finally talked which she wanted to do once they were at the restaurant. “It’s beautiful” she whispered under her breath as she looked around at the beautiful architecture before finding themselves at the restaurant. She smiled at him before giving the host her name for the reservations and being led to a small, quiet table in the back of the room.
Tristan quickly caught Roxanne, chuckling. "You're not allowed to get hurt on my watch." He said, helping to steady her. He kept quiet on the way to the restaurant, admiring the structure of the buildings and the quiet chatter of the people around them. "I've always wanted to travel to Spain." He mused, his lips curling up into a grin. Following Roxanne into the restaurant, Tristan felt his breath hitch in his throat. The atmosphere was both cozy and elegant, a combination he knew he'd be happy with--but he found himself wondering what the price range of the food was. The last thingy he wanted to do was be a cheap date--or spend a ridiculous amount on the food."beautiful's an understatement." He gazed around wondrously as they were led to their table. The hostess set their menus down and Tristan went to Roxanne's seat, pulling her chair out for her with a hopeful smile.
Roxanne settled down into the seat as she opened her menu. It all sounded delicious and reasonably priced. She smiled at her their waiter who asked what drink they wanted and she ordered herself a water with lemon, for now. She knew she wanted wine but she wanted it to go with her food so she would wait until after they ordered food before ordering the wine. “Everything sounds amazing” she said to him as she kept looking over her menu. She had no idea what to get and the older woman wanted to order their food before they even thought about getting into a serious conversation. Fewer interruptions. “How about you pick the food and I’ll pick a wine.” She suggested. It would hopefully keep the mood light and be interesting. “Then we can talk.” She threw on afterwards. Roxanne was slowly feeling more confident and in control with the situation at hand.
Tristan scanned the menu, his nose scrunching up slightly. He only knew a small amount of Spanish thanks to Lauren's tirade with the crazy fans a few days ago, so he really hoped he didn't mess up terribly. "That sounds good. Apologizing in advance if there's something you don't like." He licked his lips, ordering a water with cherries instead of lemon. Turning his focus to the menu, his eyes lit up. "Oh! Uh, pollo means chicken and I'm pretty sure pesce has to do with seafood." He looked at Roxanne over the top of his menu and raised one eyebrow. "We could get the chicken mole--I've heard great things about mole sauce. There's even chocolate in it." He smiled gleefully and bobbed his head gently to the best of the light Spanish music that surrounded the room.
Roxanne nodded. “Sounds fine with me she said smiling. “I’ve had different mole sauces before, it is really good.” Their waiter came back to the table and she let Tristan order the food before she ordered Roussanne, a white wine. “I may not know food too well, but I know my wines. This’ll help with the spiciness of the mole sauce” she informed him, before she handed over her menu to their waiter as he left the table. Once he was out of sight, Roxanne decided it would be a good time to get to the real reason they were here. They really did need to talk. “I supposed we should probably talk about what has happened” She did her best to keep the confidence in her voice because she was a bit nervous at what the outcome of tonight could be. She kept her hands under the table, her fingers playing with the fabric on her dress to help calm her nerves.
Tristan listened to Roxanne talk, nodding intently. "Turns out I know a thing or two about food." He had never tried the wine she'd mentioned, but he figured he could take her word for it. "You mean the roommate thing...?" He asked slowly, feeling a lump in his throat as the nerves suddenly came back. He felt a need to defend himself--even though he was almost positive he hadn't done anything wrong. "I didn't mean to, like, hurt your feelings. And there's nothing going on with Breanne and I. We hung out in a bathroom; I may be a dude but that doesn't mean I jump on everything that moves. Kinda hurt me 'cause I felt--I feel like you don't trust me. I'm not that guy, Roxanne, I don't sleep with anyone just to break their heart afterward. In fact, I really really like you. That's...that's it." He lowers his voice and shrugs awkwardly. "That's all I have to say. But I really am sorry if I hurt you." He hung his head a bit and swirled his straw around his water glass, watchig the cherries as they spun.
Roxanne didn’t make any eye contact with Tristan as he spoke. She felt horrible for hurting him with her irrational jealously that she had. It wasn’t normally like her. As he finished speaking, she reached across the small table and placed her hand on his cheek smiling at him. “I was jealous. Very jealous”, she said, as she lowered her hand, continuing to speak. “What I saw was me pushing you away after what management had said and you going to someone else and I got jealous because I do really like you Tristan. I don’t do what I do with you with just anyone” She paused, to take a breath before continuing. “And I’m sorry that my jealousy hurt you. But the roommate thing wasn’t all I wanted to talk about” she started to smile again. “I feel like I’m in fifth grade again, admitting how much I like you” she started to laugh, “I really wanted to know if you wanted to make this a serious thing and become like a couple?” she asked him, nerves showing through her voice. Despite both their confessions of liking each other, she couldn’t help but prepare herself for rejection after the way she had treated him. Her hand that had previously been on his face, was now twisting the straw in her untouched water, as she bit her lip; awaiting a reply.
Tristan sat in silence as Roxanne spoke, almost in shock at her confession. It wasn't that hard to believe, though--he'd gotten lucky enough to see a side of her that rarely anyone else saw. "I'd like that. But, uh, I need to voice this, okay? If we do start going the couple route, I'm gonna need you to trust me. There's still some issues I have back home with my dad and just...it's kind of brought up some stuff, you know? I need you to trust that I know what I'm doing and trust that I can be faithful. Also, I can understand if you'd want to hide it from management, and I'd be fine with texting you all the sexual stuff I want and keeping t off social media, but I don't know how I'd feel if I was asked to deny the fact that we're a thing. Am I talking too much?" He ducks his head a bit, smiling over at her. "It's a two way street, ya know. And I'm willing to meet you halfway." He raised his glass a bit, almost as if toasting to her, and took a sip of his water.
Roxanne smiled as it spread from cheek to cheek. “I do trust you. I just felt like I needed to prove myself to management and I did take it a little too far.” She said, pushing her hair from her face. “I personally like to keep the sexual things off twitter. You can’t really go into detail there anyways. 140 characters and all, but I don’t want to deny the fact that we are together. I think we’ll be fine as long as we are focused and if they get mad at us, I don’t care. This is a personal aspect of my life and I thoroughly read my contract; they can’t make it so I can’t be in a relationship with a member on tour.” She started to get fired up talking about it before catching how her voice had been rising. A blush crept on her face as she looked down, a small smile there. “I want people to know you’re mine” she said with a shrug. It was perfect timing as their food and wine was brought to their table. “Feels like they waited for us to have a pause in our conversation” Roxanne couldn’t stop smiling ever since he’d said yes.
Tristan grinned as Roxanne appeared to be getting so worked up over what management had over her. "It's fine, really. Sometimes I think they just push too many limits. Which sort of is their job, but whatever." He shrugged nonchalantly, his eyes flickering to the food and wine being brought to them. "I didn't think we'd reached that level of awesome to have an audience." He winked at her, her words echoing through his mind--it seemed like a lot of people wanted validity in their love lives, and he knew he couldn't really go wrong either way. "I think we're like yin and yang, you know? We both wind up wanting to bite eachothers heads off but we do it because we know we're beneficial to one another." He took in the sight of the food before him. "Authentic Spanish food. I've waited my whole life for this." He sighed dramatically, his face brightening just a bit. "But I gotta say, the view in front of me's pretty worthwhile, too."
Roxanne took a bite of her food, head falling back at the taste. “It is delicious, kinda like someone I know” she said in reply to his smoothness. “I like yin and yang. The good and the bad balance out.” She said, head turning to the side, smiling over at him. She couldn’t be happier than in this moment. Never would she have thought she would be eating authentic Spanish food with a sweet guy. “For someone whose been waiting their whole life to eat this food, you would think you’d have tried some by now” the blond started to chuckle. What may not have started out like a date was now turning into one. “It is delicious and you need to try it. You made a good choice” She lifted a forkful and fed it to him, biting her lip as she watched him.
Tristan smiled, imitating a rim shot. "Touché. But I can't get really good Spanish food anywhere else. Good ethnic food is hard to track down." He reached across the table and squeezed Roxanne's hand. "See? I can totally make good choices." He grinned playfully, leaning forward and taking a bite. His taste buds were hit with a powerfully delicious force. "That really is amazing." He scooped some up on his fork to return to Roxanne. "Your turn!"
Roxanne laughed before eating the bite off his fork. “Let’s not feed each other every bite because it’ll get tedious after awhile” she picked up her fork and over dramatically ate a bite on her own just to prove her point. Taking a sip of her wine, she looked at the younger boy. “By the way, it’s safe to say that you can sleep in my bed but if you get pushed onto the floor, don’t blame me!” She said adding in a wink, before taking another bite of her food.
Tristan made a face before relaxing and continuing to eat from his own plate. "You started it." He teased, switching to the wine for a sip or two. When she spoke next, he raised his eyebrows, amused. "A real bed? Man, I just keep getting more and more stuff, huh?" He snorted. "That's a risk I'm willing to take in exchange for you sharing." He took another longer sip of wine and followed it with more chicken. "You really do look pretty tonight." He paused. "Wait, am I allowed to say that? Or is the manager hat off?" He wonders aloud, face contorting with worry.
Roxanne raised her eyebrows. “I start and I finished things” she pushed her hair out of her face as she continued eating her food. “You’re even getting food!” she exclaimed, before she started to laugh. She loved how well the two were able to joke with each other and how relaxed it was feeling. She bit her lip and her eyes fell with the blush creeping across her cheeks. “Thank you” she said quietly, “Manager hat has been off all night. You can say whatever it is you want” she paused, “As long as you are not admitting to committing a murder because I am sorry, but that’ll be taken to the police.”

Dude, I’ve gotten in to a fight over Tic Tacs before. Your reason is most definitely legit.
