"Well, you do have a point," Roxas said with a smile. “What do you do with your day besides serve drinks and talk to people?"

Now this was a question he didn’t get often. People were usually more interested in what time he got off, not what he did before he got here. “Hmph I like ta bake, go chill in the park, different stuff." he finished with a shrug. “Hard ta jus’ list all yer hobbies."

"Can I have another drink?" Roxas asked, smiling. "What do you like to bake? Or do in the park?"

Dropping her arm she stuffed her hands in her pocket, avoiding her cigarettes and lighter. On second thought she can always play with her lighter, a habit she picked up on her own. Doing just that, the punk began to play with her lighter, switching it on and off. Always killing out the flame and reviving it. It must have been a weird look to her seeing she looks younger than she appears but Xion long gone ignored those hush whispers from mothers she walked past by and sexual comments from bikers that made her teeth grit. She ignored them all. The only comments she will consider are her friends’ opinions, they are an exception. The only exception.

Turning her head over to the blond haired female she shrugged her shoulders carelessly. Still worrying over a job Xion noticed. “Its cool, I put in a good word for you to the boss. So your more than likely to get the job.” Pocketing her lighter away she jogged over to the front door of the café. Opening it for Roxas,”Ladies first,” Xion overdramatically bowed for the female. Just for kicks.

At the mention of a job, Roxas felt herself relax. She had done a few odd jobs to pay the bills here and there; putting posters up for a sports tournament, moving boxes for a guy but no one had wanted to keep her long term.

And the fact that Xion had put in a good word for her made her ecstatic. She couldn't have annoyed the other girl too horrible if she didn't mind the idea of working with her.

She giggled when Xion opened the door with for her with such flourish, walking through quickly so as not to burst into laughter at her comment.

"I am most certainly not a lady," she informed her companion with a smile. Then, wanting to address Xion's earlier remark she said, "And thanks. For putting a word in with your boss. I appreciate that a lot, Xion."

Not wanting to make their meeting completely serious she quickly added, "So, anything new with you? How's school?"

“Pretty name to go with a pretty face.” He leaned forward placing his elbows on the bar in front of him. Hands holding his chin. “So what brings you here?”

"Why, thank you. I'm looking for a drink, sights...maybe a good conversation," she said, taking another sip. Roxas smiled at him over her glass. "Are you a good conversationalist?"

By now her head was up in the clouds. Thinking nothing but of the events that happened in her life already. Some enjoyable but others…not so much. But her clouds left her with the simple call of her name. A female’s voice. Clearly. Looking over she had to squint her blue eyes to see who called for her. Looking over the small crowd she spotted the blonde female who came by to the warehouse that took place not so long ago. Feeling a smile go to her lips she waved shyly, walking over to her. Human interaction. Its been so long.

For a moment there she thought she wall alone. Silly to think such negative thoughts but than again she been isolated for a good four years, its only natural, like breathing, for her to be scared from such things. Is there a phobia for her fear? Possibly. It seems phobias have a name for everything now. Heights, spiders, the dark, etcetera. It will forever be a never ending cycle, because its only natural for the human body.

“Hey roxy girl,” Xion said strutting putting an arm over her shoulder. “Now its been awhile since we last saw each other, and far from what I know, that needs to change.” Her words, her sentences, her dialogue all came out of her mouth so natural and smooth, almost like magic. She is a social butterfly. “So how about it? You me, lunch, I’ll pay.”

Roxas smiled brightly when Xion responded and came towards her. She was glad to be acknowledged. Especially by someone she wanted to call friend. She had been so worried that she would either call or see Xion and be ignored in favor of something else. She was used to being ignored until needed but as Xion greeted her she knew she was being too cautious. She needed to reach out or she would be left behind. 

"Lunch sounds great," Roxas said with a smile at the offer. If Xion paid this time she could offer to pay next time. She almost wanted to insist on paying her own way but it seemed rude to turn down the offer. "I've been meaning to call and catch up but life's been getting in the way."

☆ The Cure

Coming out of apartment is certainly a rare thing the punk would do, but she was not going to go out and wander the city rather just a simple smoke break. Apparently he big man was most likely to get out of his way to kick her out if he found out she was smoking in the place again. Not because he hated smokers but he was trying to get over his addiction of tobacco, and how is he suppose to quit when a petite girl was around and about smoking away on a sweet little cigarette? Wouldn’t really get that far is she was in his place sadly. Shrugging at his cold motives she just came padding down the stairs and went right out the doors going right out to the sidewalk to inhale her tobacco. Tapping the cigarette so it’s ashes will fall off the punk turned her head every now and than looking about the urban city she lived in for quite sometime. Holding the cancer stick between her first finger and middle finger she continued to stare out.  

The story about her smoking habits wasn’t a depressing story rather it came from something really simple. Bad influences. Hanging around the wrong people got her into situations that she wishes to not talk about today. And when the time came when she wanted to leave her demons, she left with scars on her wrists. Done with the cigarette she flicked it to the cement stepping over it with her ratty converse killing the orange flames that lingered over the remains. Scraping off the trash underneath the soles of her shoe she heaved a sigh to the air around her. Was it wrong for her to do such sinful acts? Her family did come from a religious background and never did they defy god in such acts like smoking, laying in bed with a man before even married, and wearing such clothing over her body that had moms covering their children’s eyes. Sin or not… Xion liked this development; it helped her in so many ways that one can not describe or speak thoroughly of. Sticking her hands in her jean shorts she turned around on her heel going off in the direction to the music store.

It seems she is going to wander off today.

Roxas ran a hand through her hair as she glanced at her phone, willing something to happen. Anything to happen. She'd been waiting for a possible job interview, a confirmation from the community college and the courage to call any of the new people she'd met. Roxas sighed as she made her way down the street for something to do, anything to do.  Her apartment seemed dull and lonely by comparison to the inhabited sidewalk she had taken to randomly walking for a change of scene.

She felt like she should be doing something on the walks she took, especially hen her neighbor asked her where she had been. Every time, without fail, no matter how long she was gone, the woman would pop her head out her door and inquire. And she would have nothing to say, not even something to hide. It was boring. It was getting annoying too-

Roxas was suddenly removed from her thoughts when she saw a familiar head of hair across the street. 

"Xion?" She called over to the girl she was almost sure she knew.

“Coming right up little miss.” Watching her struggle up onto the stool had him chuckle to himself. He couldn’t do anything from his side of the bar anyways. Grabbing all the needed ingredients and a chilled glass he went about mixing them as per recipe and his special flair. Not wanting to go too extreme due to those mesmerizing blues distracting him. Last thing he needed was to break something. So he went simple with a bottle flip or two.

Placing the drink in front of her with a smile and a wink. “So gotta name you wanna tell me?”

She watched the bartender easily flip bottles, trying to not look too excited. She'd really come out looking for nothing more than a drink when she'd stumbled into the strip club. She hadn't expected an entertaining bartender to be in the same building with the fascinating strippers. 

She smiled as he placed the drink in front of her and took a sip. It was delicious but she'd expected it to be, she liked the drink.

"My name is Roxas. Roxas Hallowell."

Eyes widening at that last statement “Hmm well you’re more than welcome to keep ‘em on me.” Leaning with both palms pressed against the bar. “What can I get for ya blondie? Lemme put on a show of my own”

"Could I get a Black Widow?" Roxas asked with a smile, finding a seat for herself nearby. She tried to maintain some dignity getting onto the bar-stool but she was short and her job was made harder by the high heels she'd decided to wear out. She managed to get on without falling or looking too silly, but her feet were no longer on the ground. She hoped the bartender didn't make too much fun of her.

Getting into the rhythm of serving customers, flirting with said customers and strutting around to the music pumping through the air. It was an easy night for tips if you knew what to say to the right customers, but Axel had no trouble with that. He was their best bartender and knew he looked good doing it. As the night went on, his eye caught a particularly awestruck looking teased up blonde. 

He didn’t see any customers that needed immediate attention. “Hey there beautiful, liking what you see?” putting on his trademark smirk

"Wha?" Roxas said, startled. She had been watching the dancers before getting distracted from the performance by the bartender. She blushed as she realized she was being addressed and got closer to the bar.  "Yeah, I like what I see. There are a lot of gorgeous people in one place and some of them are doing really impressive things with their bodies," she said with a smile before glancing over at the bartender. Her smile grew; he was a tall fellow with a head of the reddest hair she'd ever seen. He looked like fun to talk to and she was still looking for friends. "And some of them are serving the drinks. Hard to know where to keep my eyes."
