Evangelizing, or spreading the Gospel, is not just going out into the street and telling strangers Jesus loves them. It’s SHOWING strangers Jesus loves them through yourself. When you love others, you are God’s heart. When you do good works such as feeding the homeless, you are God’s hands. The soul is a gentle mirror of God. You evangelize by revealing Jesus’ heart to the world. Stop street preaching, and go and feed the hungry, clothe the naked, give drink to the thirsty, and visit the imprisoned.
God hears you prayers. –Jeremiah 33:3
If you claim to follow Christ, your fruits of the Spirit must display so.
One’s life is radically changed once finding the Lord. Their hearts go from stony, to softened. The hate they once harbored has now made way for love, joy, and peace. They take a stand when the world sits down, and speak up when the world tells them to be silent.
They have now been lit with the fire of the Holy Spirit, and they cannot be quenched, no matter how much themselves, and the works around them, attempts to do so.
What was once a home for darkness and sinful ignorance has been lit up by the Father, and his presence will continue to shine through a repented sinner’s heart and into this dark world around them.
This is what it means to find new life in Christ Jesus, and to be lit alive by the fire of the Spirit.
Will we still encounter trials, tribulations, and often time struggle to continue on? Absolutely.
But the Christian life is not marked by easiness, or flawlessness. Rather, it is compared to an endurance race, similar to an Olympic runner. Though we struggle, we press on, and set our sights on the prize before us: an eternity with Christ.
If one does not bear these fruits, nor experience a desire to be filled by the Holy Ghost, then they have no business calling themselves Christians.
God bless, Jesus loves you ✝️❤️
