I love the film, I love the music and the songs, but fuck, it was scary to watch that as a child. That and Beetlejuice. He’s a proper teenager now, it seems, but it’s fine, those things will pass, too. I find clowns seriously freaky, and it has nothing to do with It. The original It, I mean. But seriously, who invented clowns?! 

I feel the same, especially Beetlejuice scared little me. And everything and anything with puppets, dolls...Urgh, creepy as hell. I could not agree more, my grandma once told me even as a baby clowns freaked me out. They are not funny, they are evil. I think you and me should travel back in time and kick the butt of whoever is responsible for that...artistic invention. We could be heroes...just for one day...

Well, it seems like the fault isn’t with his fascination of such films, but you being susceptible to the monsters in those films and stories. Pennywise terrifies everyone with two eyes - but some people are just way too fascinated by evil spirits. The snowmen look right out of Beetlejuice, to be fair. Did you get rid of them by now?

I cannot help it, I am not made for scary things...not when I am all alone in the house and those things make the most freakish shadows. And you are right, in a way I can understand that fascination, I do enjoy a good spine-tingling...just everything in moderation. And yes, they are gone. Anthony drove over them a couple times with his electronic truck. He is my knight in shining leather now.

This is all Kit’s fault, since he turned 16 he is obsessed with watching scary movies because neither Simon nor I ever allowed such movies in our homes, only ever age-appropriate. And he knows that Pennywise terrifies me, guess that is why the snowmen look like that.I swear, their eyes are following me everywhere.

Funny that you say that because the twins really watched The Nightmare before Christmas with Simon and his husband. But these...things are all Kit’s fault. Since he turned 16 he and his friends only watch scary movies...and he knows I find clowns really disturbing, so the snowmen were inspired by Pennywise..I threatened to not cook for them this Christmas but they do not believe me...yet..

Old white people things? But I agree, it is crazy what you have to do, consider, apply for, get permits for and all that jazz when you want to build anything. I was lucky that I found a great architect who works only with great people to make the world a little greener. I could give you his contact information should you be interested. He did it all - green roof, solar, rain gardens, using only sustainable materials. It gives you a better feeling and it looks beautiful as well.  

I made Swabian pocket, as the name already shows they are a typical local German delicacy. Easily put they are pasta squares filled with meat and spinach but I made pure vegetable ones as well. They are really good, trust me. So, want to try one? They are still warm.

You went to your exes wedding? That’s really cool that you’ve maintained that good of a relationship that he would want you there. You know, same old, same old, mainly soaking up some sunrays and spending time in the garden and the pool, the weather has been too great not to take advantage of things - it’s almost like being in California, but not quite. 

Yes, he invited me months ago and if I am honest I was not too sure in the beginning. We always worked hard to maintain a good relationship for our sons since they are most important to both of us. And I guess, in a way, we are still friends. Still, it is and was hard but a friend of mine wisely said I might always regret it should I decide not to go. And I know for a fact it would have saddened Simon because it was very important to him having me there. That sounds like a wonderful way to spend your time, sun and water. I must say I am shocked all my plants, herbs and vegetables are still alive..I left Chris in charge of taking care of everything and he did a perfect jobs. Now he can never ever claim again that he has a black thumb, I know better Mister. Can I offer you a fresh scone and coffee? Tea?

I do, I really do love that song and the movie. And the animated series was awesome, though I had to watch all of that at friends houses. Only bible Tv in my home. Of course, come on, that little green ball of slime is adorable. Would you honestly break his heart and make him cry by refusing a hug? Fuck the Winchesters, whiny bitches. Ahm, sorry, just finished the newest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race. 

Well, I have neither. I guess we are both not trench coat guys. Columbo and Castiel wear them wonderfully though.

Well, it’s odd to see a gaggle of people these days… I feel you and your kids on that. I stay away, give them wide berth, or wear a mask, whenever I have to go through them. It’s really odd to think that they could potentially be harmful in someway, even by not doing anything. Or especially because of that. I would love to go to a concert, but it give me goosebumps just thinking about it, and not in a good way. Do you think you’ll see me, if I jump up and down? Or do you just want me to be bear fodder, so you can escape?

Right? So many things that have been normal creep me out right now. Just a few days ago I was in New York, picking up the boys, and all those people almost brushing against me nearly freaked me out. I am, as everyone in the family, vaccinated but I am still keeping that mask on and keep my distance. I could not agree more, with everything you just said. And I love live music but right now I just cannot handle it...I get those same bad goosebumps. I will see you and should a bear try to attack you I promise I will do everything in my power to distract the bear and let you escape. Just promise to come back and get me when it is safe, I am the dude sitting in a tree...

Dude, I have four young sons, they’re all into Spiderman and Black Panther these days, so I’m not caught up on anything. I’m apparently not that deep. I can just imagine… there’s so much that goes into the waste bins these days. Very little gets recycled, right? We’re getting a little better, but we’re not that great yet. More is good. I’m definitely redoing my ex-wife’s home to make it more sustainable, which means a moss roof where there’s no place for solar panels, water filtration, floor heating, proper insulation… I think this is going to turn out quite well. 

Have you never considered opening a restaurant, if you love that so much? I mean, you could share with loads of people…

We’ll see. I might cut in on her time with him, because I’m trying to get him to leave the safety of his home. 

The twins are kind of obsessed with Black Panther as well and have been for years with the Winter Soldier, so Seb is their favorite. And well, Hawkeye of course but then again, Jer is like an uncle to them, so no real surprise there. Honestly? It is almost nauseating when you actually see how much garbage a normally family produces on a daily bases. Today everything is wrapped or packed in some way. It makes me feel better that I produce most of my food myself without any waste and I am so much more aware when I do have to shop. That is awesome, my house is all green as well, that was most important for me when I moved here. Well, that and the lovely neighbors I cannot live without anymore. So, if you ever want or need some help I would gladly do my best to provide that. 

I actually have and that idea is still at the front of my mind. Who knows, maybe one day soon it will finally work out.

No, it’s not. You’re too much of a gentleman for that. It’s still new, and exciting, and there’s uncertainty swinging in there somewhere. I hope so, Matt. I mean, you know her…. but she’s really special. To me. 

Well, thank you. I always try to be a gentleman, meaning I treat those around with love and respect and try to never overstep boundaries. New and exciting sound wonderful, there are few things making you feel like those first butterflies in the stomach when something new and still frail begins. Just take your time, you are both still so young and not going anywhere soon. As for me, I am keeping my fingers crossed for you. That smile on your face when you talk about her is something beautiful. And yes, she is special but so are you. Guess you are kind of a match made in heaven.
