IT'S BEEN A YEAR BOY HOWDY

Well, it's been a year, which makes it Tarma's birthday! I'm traveling today, and regret not being able to post artwork of my gal; however, I did want to give a little thank-you to those that still follow this rather empty place. Tarma helped renew my love of writing, and through her I was introduced to a lot of amazing people. I'm saddened that I no longer find interest in roleplaying on this medium, but the friends I've made are too wonderful to ever forget. I owe huge thanks to @wanderandward and @coldsoulgoodsoul for staying with me through all of this, and making my writing and love for my character feel incredibly special. And to @ask-doggo-things--hey, it was your Writing that made me want to jump right into roleplaying in the first place! So thanks for being such an inspiration. To everyone else--thank you for being so damn amazing. I will say that I want to give this blog closure, so hopefully there's one more big post coming sometime soon in the future. For now, you guys have a wonderful day!!!

College is kicking my butt

Not much time to RP, so I think I’m simply going to start over. Not sure when that might be, so I won’t promise anything.

Still, it’s Tarma’s anniversary in a month and a half, so I think I should do something by then.

*Betraying…?

At the mention of the Captain’s name, Tarma freezes, pupils dilating sharply. The top pair of eyes atop her head seems to hold some recognition for the voice, though for Tarma, it has yet to click.

Angrily, she releases the growl she’s been holding in, slowly revealing her other sword, testing its weight in her palm as she shifts to a defensive stance. Whatever’s talking to her, it reeks of trouble.

*Explain yourself. NOW.

Her blood feels like its boiling, she feels mocked, but her rage seems…spontaneous. Unwarranted, even. Even Tarma can’t place what has her so enraged, like a memory pushed just out of reach.

*YOU EITHER TELL ME WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME, OR I’M ARRESTING YOU, YA GOT ME!?

And in that moment of rage and WEAKENESS, the FLOWER took advantage.

In one swift, fatal movement, a black, disgusting limb shot through the ground at surprisingly high speeds while the perpetrator finally came into view. The guise of a broken flower, grinning SICKLY up at the vulnerable guard popped out of the floor while the limb sought to take root into her chest. Almost immediately, Tarma could feel the cold, sickening essence of some horrible, disgusting virus begin to pump into her system.

In that moment, the flower’s words became even more malicious, and the vessel in front of Tarma seemed to cackle as she, herself, found herself unable to approach the flower during this state. It’s as if her entire world had frozen around her in this exact moment, a feeling of dread washing over as the vibe swiftly changed from intense to absolutely horrifying.

Within mere moments, the strings were attached. Tarma’s transformation started to take place as the SEED was injected.

Her anger had gotten the better of her. It left her unfocused, unable to respond with her usual agility. Blood pounded too loudly against her eardrums, hands gripped the swords with far too much bloodlust. Her judgment was clouded at best, and as her eyes fell upon the hideous flower, as she swooped down in a rage to attack it, only her blade swung down too late. Tarma had left herself open to attack, and she had underestimated how great the threat to her had been; the sword clenched tight in her right hand clattered to the floor as the black appendage pierced through her armor, a chill one she had never felt rendering her immobile.

Her soul began to beat wildly, irregularly. She could barely breathe as hideous, dark-as-pitch vines ensnared her limbs, taking root around the container which guarded her broken heart. For once, Tarma and Yuki were both in agreement, the two of them simultaneously drowning in a fear unlike they had ever experienced before. Her eyes went black, monochrome, as if the color within them had ceased to be. Tarma surely would have fallen forward, if not for the fact that all of of her limbs were locked into place, her posture as straight as it was unnatural.

She couldn’t speak.

Tarma could only let her eyes stare upon the flower in sickening horror, trembling as she tried and failed to fight back on the toxic cold seeping into her nerves.

Tarma motioned with her head, leaving a small sign of notice at her station before leading Marcus down to the opposite end of the bridge.

*And, hey there, ain’t nothing wrong with being a Sentry. I’ve been with the Guard for years, this is just my preffered proffession. And, yeah, I used to live pretty close to this area, so I know it well.

Vague, it was, but Xanos was never one to pry. He simply smiled and shook his head, lamenting that youth was so wasted on the young. He may have only been in his Middle Ages biologically, but he knew he’d lived longer than most.

“Well now, there’s no need to act that way,” he said, referring to her reverent tones, “I may be an old warrior, but I’m nobody to hold up on a pedestal.”

 *But you’re a veteran! Ya fought in the War like…like my pops. I say that’s something worthy o’ my respect and a whole lot more.

The Sentry could barely contain her excitement, as if ready to bounce from her seat at any moment.

*That’s why I became a Sentry actually, for him. Heh, I don’t think he ever saw it in me to be a part of the Royal Guard, but…I like the job well enough.

Smiling shyly, Tarma remembered herself, giggling in an attempt to hide her growing blush.

*I’m sorry…probably being rude, aren’t I?
