private & selective rp blog for his royal highness 'prince liam henstridge'. the story of liam is a rough adaptation of the play 'hamlet', with liam losing his brother and father within the same year and having to step up from being the spare to the throne to acting as prince regent without any preparation. liam is originally portrayed in the show 'the royals' by e! but my portrayal is headcanon based and liam is written as my oc modern prince. this is a casual rp blog.

portrayal notes. liam. in the original canon and not my canon, liam is friends with his sister's abuser (because of the writers' erasure and romanticization of his sister's abuse) and i am not condoning that or including that in my portrayal. liam would do better. my portrayal focuses on everything in liam's journey from scandalous playboy prince to redeeming his image and becoming someone that the people of england would accept as their future king. in his early twenties he drinks too much, sleeps around too much and parties instead of attending royal duties, in his early-mid twenties he's obsessed with finding out who killed his father and brother while partaking in fight clubs and drinking sprees to drown his grief, and in his late twenties he's trying to redeem himself by helping charities, becoming patron of several non-profit organisations and associations within sports, culture and social purposes, including the one put up in his father's memory. he's also taking his military training seriously and finishing his university degree during those years.

basic rules. no god-modding, no deciding how my character thinks/what they believe/their past without discussing with me, common rp decency, no force ship, no forcing replies, no drama and no discrimination.

Hi everyone! I just wanted to give a small update about activity, since I've got no plans today and have been thinking.

I've decided to keep my blogs inactive from now and until after my bachelor's degree is done! That'll be around the late middle of June but I'll need time to recover from the stress haha

I'm also considering leaving the rpc community, or at least leaving for a very long break during the summer, because I keep getting hit with feeling inadequate and comparing my blogs to other more popular blogs and it affects my self esteem

Honestly, and in all seriousness, I feel like I need to be taught how to be a good rp mutual again. I legitimately hold back liking starter calls and sending memes when I think you've gotten many things already (I don't want to put pressure, I assume you won't get to it after all of that), but I also realize that it makes it look like I don't want those things ... I also assume posts referring to 'mutuals' muses' never include MY muses and things like 'give my muse a partner' posts would never be directed at MY muses because there are so much cooler muses on the dash for yours to date. I mostly end up lurking and envying interactions :')

The convenient timing on the show to make it so that characters don't get consequences for their actions is so crazy (or so that they can neglect a ship, ehm Willow and Liam). The fact that when Liam finds out about Ja.s.per he conveniently has the information about who killed his father which has been Liam's obsession for three months so obviously he's going to want to know above fighting the guy. And we never get to see Liam really make him pay for what he did after that. Booo!

I can no longer tell if I'm just too biased or if my frustration with how the writers wrote Liam neglecting Willow feels out of character considering how he treated Ophelia. I get that he's obsessed with finding out his father's killer but why did they have to make his pursuit of Dominique be right after him promising Willow that he wouldn't stand her up? It's not fair 🥲
